    Re: Resident Evil 6

I was initially enjoying the Leon campaign.
3 head shots to kill anything?
What's with the invincible zombies? They're on the floor and I think they're clearly going to attack, shoot it and nothing happens. Go near it,get attacked and then have to shoot it?
Ah my goodness the aiming. This has to be the slowest aiming ever.
Then Chris had terrible camera issues, same aiming issues and the cover system was terrible.
Poor job on the QTEs too. They're half way to failure by the time they even come up.

      Re: Resident Evil 6

Folks I haven't played an RE game since hmm the original and the 2nd one on the PS or was it the PS2?

I have become much more of online gamer this generation and I'm on the PS3. What online modes are in RE6 if I may ask? Anything competitive or is it all just co-op?

Feel free to describe the modes since I can't find much on google.

        Competitive stuff is DLC: http://kotaku.com/5942293/resident-e...es-as-paid-dlc

I think there's one thing in the game already.

I played the demo and I couldn't stand playing the game with a controller (planning on getting it for the PC). I sure hope the pc version incorporates the keyboard and mouse well because I was having a rough time playing it on the PS3.

I've never personally bought a Resident Evil game, but that may change this year. Especially if I can find someone to run through it with me in co-op.

              Yes 3. Sometimes 2. Mostly 3. Never 1.

Sure when you knock them down first but that's not what I was talking about at all. If there's one on the ground/in a chair etc. when you enter a room that is very obviously going to attack you and you shoot at it...it does nothing. It passes through and hits the ground/wall. Only once you go over to it and "activate it" are you able to do anything to it.

That's half the problem, they're on the same button.

Also not what I was talking about. The ones where you have to mash A or wiggle the stick.

I played through the full demo, same sample size as everyone else.

I'll second goh on the invincible floor zombies. Was mentioning that to my wife while playing the demo. You see the body on the floor, and you KNOW it's a zombie, so you shoot at it from a distance to kill it before you approach. But nothing happens. So you think, "Hmmm, well maybe it's just a random dead body." But as you pass it, THEN it comes to life and attacks you. Why couldn't I just shoot him before? Weird.

That was my one complaint too, just didn't make sense. I like Chris's level a lot, but wondering how those zombies with machine guns are going to work. It's umbrella and those cats are into all kinds of biological craziness.

I'll second goh's head shot issue.

It's the first thing I noticed and the entire time while running through Leon's Campaign, I was thinking "since when did the rules change about shooting a zombie in the head?"

It did take up to three shots to the head to kill some of them.

They seem to be assuming that we'll just think it's a dead body and not a zombie, then will be "surprised" when it tries to attack us. It's a little "gamey", but not really a big deal.

As far as the zombies with machine guns... Based on the little we know, they seem to be more "genetically enhanced soldiers" than zombies per say.

In regards to the headshots, I still have yet to see it take three. I also don't get why anyone is surprised it can take more than one. Go play RE4 or 5 again, it often takes more than one in both of those games.

They had zombies with machine guns and rocket launchers in the last movie.

I know that... but this isn't the movie. If you just watch how they act, and follow the story of the games, they are less zombie, and more genetically enhanced soldiers.

After playing through the demo again, I'm still torn on whether to buy this at full price. I wish the whole game was in the style of Leon's campaign, because I just can't get into Chris' at all. I might just go with NBA 2K13 next week and wait for the RE6 price drop later on.

Now im hearing rumors of those whove played it that its a graphics downgrade from resident evil 5 as a whole? I didnt see that playing the campaigns in the demo?

Then again residne tevil 5 might of looked better on non hd setups whereas now resident evil 6 is the wii u where it has to be ON the wii U(if you get my meaning)

I've honestly thought that as well. There are def some low res/poor textures if you look at the walls, boxes, etc. RE5 was a great looking game, and still looks great today... prob the better looking game based on the demo right now. I could have to do with some the things they added though, like flesh tearing away where zombies are shot. As much as I've loved the demo, I'm still waiting to read a few reviews.... The three campaign story thing worries me a little.
