Yeah, I still enjoyed RE5. I agree with Captain, it was still kind of the run and gun style, but controls were tight and it still had it's moments.

Nothing will ever top 4. Not if the series continues with this trend.

I agree the Jake thing feels like a toss in, but haven't gotten far enough to see how it fits in the grand scheme, and not even sure that I want to at this point.

Thinking about making it through Leon's campaign and trading it in as fast as possible.

All I know, is they need to get back to their roots. A total reboot is definitely necessary.

I disagree a little here. RE5 was a faster paced RE4. Yes, it started dropped much of the "survival horror", but there were still a few creepy moments, and the gameplay was as tight as ever. RE6 however, is just a mess control/camera wise.

RE5 may have started the series shift, but it was still a very good game, and technically sound.

I'm telling you guys, it's like they took the same gameplay code, but when they tried adding the free moving camera and move-while-shooting mechanic, the whole thing collapsed in on itself.

I agree that the camera in RE6 does spaz out quite a bit and can get you into many jams. It is a bit too close. I think if they could take elements of RE4 and 5 for the next game with a complete reboot that would be awesome. I just hate the fact that a lot gets ignored from the past storylines with each passing game. Like no mention of Sheva from RE5 at all. Then this Neo Umbrella is really stretching the story. Personally, take Chris, Leon, and Claire pretty much do a reboot here or if not create new characters.

If Dead Space 3 stays to its roots and the co-op partner doesn't hamper the gameplay, the RE franchise has a threat and some competition here.

It's a shame seeing such an iconic series totally losing it's identity.

I think a Leon centered reboot is what I would like to see.

Hey now, I said I was only on Leon's campaign and was enjoying it, which was true. In fact, I really liked his campaign.

Things just get a little dicey after that it seems... unfortunately moreso than I expected. It's still a fun game, and I still think the 3/10, 4/10 scores are ridiculous, but the controls are definitely rough when the action picks up.

Loading is not that bad.

It is when you get to certain part in each campaign and the game just sits on the load screen like it has frozen, i have heard that ps3 users have had troubles with the game i may be just one of the unlucky ones. Gone through 3 discs now and each time the game freezes at the same certain points in the game.

It had. Competition when the first one came out to me. I feel like RE6 was a cash in. They tried to buy us with nastalgia. Leon was good. But after that it was very downhill. Dead Space is the perfect mix of action and survival horror.

Dead Space took its inspiration from RE. Now its RE's time to return the favor.

Which PS3 model do you own and size HDD by any chance? Some people have been reporting issues with the old fat PS3 with Madden 13 as an example.

For me, load times are average. But I use the slim. Here's a trick to cut down on load times though... Play Metal Gear Solid 4. After that the load times for every other game is insanely shorter lol.

I barely got through Chapter 1 with Leon on coop. Another FAIL by Capcom. Pacing was so poor, bland story and Leon was a badass character and in this game he seems dumbed down.

Will not be returning to this game unless they finally go back to their roots.

LOL! The loads on on MGS4 were bad for sure. Good thing now you can fully install the game on to the HDD to greatly reduce the load times.

My friend has the 60gb PS3 with a 500gb HDD in it and Madden was causing some weird freezing for 1-2 seconds after the ball gets snapped when your on offense. Just very odd and I've read several others having the same problem.
