Oblivion and Fallout 3. I was bored within minutes of firing both up.

I'm a PS3 guy because I don't like the way Microsoft handles business, but I have nothing against the Xbox as a console. So I went to my friends house and played a bit of Halo. While I must say, I enjoyed 1 and 2, 3 I think was a bit overrated.

To me, Halo is one of the things Xbox 'fans' hype on a lot because (besides a few other exclusives) it's the only thing they have. While I did enjoy Left 4 Dead 2, I wouldn't rush out and buy it if it was ported to the PS3.

Halo 3 is definitely overrated and I think bungie is just capitalizing on the name now because all I hear from my friend who has an Xbox is how they are getting progressively worse and after playing 3, I'd have to agree.

Gears of War s the same way as Halo. While the first one was rather enjoyable, the second one was kind of....meh.

I'm a PS3 guy as well but I have to say that I really enjoyed Reach. Quite a bit actually. I agree with you on 3 though.

Halo 3 (way overhyped and halo 2 was much better in the mp, maps, and all)
Halo Reach (marginally better, but halo 3 again with a few more "perks")
Resistance 2 (ok sp, but mp was a clusterfock)
Crysis 2 (mp almost sucks and the lag)

the halo games consistently getting reviews like "best blah blah"...."10/10"...."perfect score" really makes me discredit most big review sites and really perpetuates the notion that microsoft pays for good reviews for halo.

but i really dont see how anyone could put RDR on the list. damn good game and this is coming from a guy who doesnt like westerns or care for the setting at all. i see a few others putting infamous on the list too. i just got it as part of the welcome back thing as well cuz its always been on my radar. i like it so far and already see it getting better the more i play. also saw fallout 3 hit a few list...i havent finished it but with over 40hrs in and nowhere near done i dont see how it can be on the list either. good game with a ton of content, not even including the 4 dlc's.

Any of the Resistance games get my vote for overrated as well. Just don't see the appeal. At all.

Ratchet and Clank has a big following and I don't understand why.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if people who think RDR is overrated were playing the same game as I was. Same with Oblvion. I can see where people think Fallout 3 or New Vegas were overrated, but Oblivion. Come on.

Most PS3 exclusives. I didn't like God of War 3, or any of the Resistance games. Although the puzzles and climbing parts were cool, I didn't really enjoy Uncharted 1 or 2, due to the shooting, and I also didn't enjoy inFamous, which imo is the most overrated one out of them all. I don't see how it got such high ratings.

The only exclusive I have thoroughly enjoyed so far is MLB 10 the Show. One of the greatest sports games ever and has made me begin to like baseball.

I loved inFamous and both Uncharted's. Still haven't played GoW III or either of the Resistance games though so I can't speak for them.

I do think Killzone 3 wasn't that great though. To me it was just another FPS and it didn't seem like anything really groundbreaking. Plus the story was pretty uninteresting and the ending was just terrible.

Was GOW3 overrated. I dont remember hearing anything about that game as being all that great. I played through it and saw nothing amazing but the graphics. Gameplay remained unchanged from the first 2 titles.

I don't really remember how much hype it had but any hype would be Over Hype for Alan Wake. Boring,Made no sense, boring, Did I mention it was boring?

I'm with these two. Maybe it has to do with waiting so long to play it. Not bad, but it doesn't really seem all that stellar. Also I hate how it feels when you run with him, but that's me.

I grabbed Infamous from Gamefly and while it is a god game, it is nothing amazing, so far at least.

Aside from the Wager Matches in Black Ops, it is pretty blah to me too. Too many people trying to use the same weapons, same perks, same attachments, just to boost their meaningless K/D ratio. They need to have a random playlist, where everything is randomized. Weapons, Perks, Attachments, Equipment, Killstreaks, etc. I have been saying this for years now.

I guess Sharpshooter is the closest thing we will ever get.

I enjoyed the gameplay in Black Ops, but the dropped matches, and overall connectivity was hell on PS3. Very fusturating. I haven't played since February though and I remember it was much better then it was in November/December.

I think LA Noire is one of the most overrated games. It got great reviews, a lot of hype here on OS, and while I think it was decent I didn't finish it. Not much to do and every case felt the same. Lost interest in the storyline quick.
