Also what else do you think will be the big announcements this year at E3? I am thinking that GTA 5 may be announced?

Looks like we may be getting another COD game this year:

Re: Modern Warfare 3 and Other E3 Possibilities
Both the Modern Warfare and GTA series have really run past thier due date. Sure they will sell a ton, although I expect both not to come close in sales to the previous versions, but these new games will just be updated retreads as the formula has gotten tired.

COD won't fail that hard but it definitely will not continue making huge splashes like it use to. They needed to space it out a bit more instead of coming out with one this year. Multi-player is the only thing that keeps it selling so well. It's a great multi-player game but just doesn't have any serious substance on the single player campaign. I'd almost be inclined to think they would do much better just charging a monthly fee and updating it.
GTA is still a great game in my opinion. Stories are original and interesting. I think they need to bring about a much more flushed out environment personally. I'd also like it to be somewhere not in the U.S. I honestly need to finish it. I'm a little irritated for not having the realistic things in the game like getting pulled over for running a red light or speeding? I think that juggling a nice realism would bring about more appeal like Red Dead brought.Comment

Re: Modern Warfare 3 and Other E3 Possibilities
As for the COD, I was suprised in reading this, and to be honest I have not had as much fun playing COD since the orignal Modern Warefare as they just seem to be getting more and more arcadish. I just noticed that no one had mentioned anything on the board and thought I would put it out there.Comment

Re: Modern Warfare 3 and Other E3 Possibilities
If there is no GTA announcement, E3 will be a failure for me. Assuming there is no announcement before then of course.
But I mean damn, it's been 3 years now since GTA IV came out. There's a 99% chance there won't be one this year either, so we're looking at 2012 at best for the next GTA, which would be a 4 year layoff. And if they go back to their old PS2 release dates of October, that means late 2012 would be when we'd get the next GTA.
I guess on the other hand, the good news is that Saints Row 3 should be coming this year.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

No idea, but I remember that one E3 were Peter Moore (when he was still working for MS) revealed a GTA IV tattoo. Can't remember if they showed anything to do with gameplay though.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Modern Warfare 3 and Other E3 Possibilities
Rockstar does E3, they just didn't last year.
My guess would be lots of Agent details and some sort of GTA V announcement with an expected release of mid-late 2012. Just my guess though. The two bigs of Rocktar's contracts expire in January 2012, so I would expect Take2 to be pushing for GTA V to be done by then. If the Housers want to stay, I would expect them to drag feet and keep the game hostage for a major payday.Last edited by Burns11; 02-15-2011, 01:50 AM.Comment
