I'm shocked that this thread is not more active than it is. A highly anticipated game coming out and no one is chasing this one down for the early release buy. Hmm, COD dying here on OS??

Can someone explain quick scoping? I've seen videos of it, so I know what it is, but what IS it? (If that makes sense.. kind of like I know of someone but I don't know them)

Quick scoping blows. There isn't a person on this earth that can scope in and fire all in under a second and be remotely accurate. Hopefully, they remove this ability because it's ridiculous.

It's been confirmed a while ago it is in the game unfortunately. Nothing is realistic on CoD, nobody runs around with sub-machine guns like Rambo but nobody complains about that .

Basically it's very quickly zooming in with your sniper and shooting, it takes zero skill.

They start to look thru the scope (press LT) but don't hold LT so basically tap it.

Then they press RT to fire..

It is a few reasons for that.

1. BF3. Unlike Medal of Honor that came out before Black Ops last year, BF series has a fanbase as large as COD. What you had last year with Medal of Honor was people bought it to pass the time until Black Ops came out, and when it came out they traded in Medal of Honor for Black Ops. Nobody is going to trade in BF3 for MW3.

2. Batman Arkham City.....couple of weeks old but hey people still playing it.

3. Unchartered 3 just came out this week.

4. Skyrim comes out next Friday.

5. Assassin's Creed Revelation comes out on the 15th.

Basically in a nutshell, it is way more AAA competition this year.

As for quick scoping, I hate it, and I have no idea why they keep it in the game but it does take some skill. I can't quick scope, I've tried it to see how hard it is and couldn't hit anymore, so I think it does take some kind of skill.

Like Gotmadskillzson said it has a lot to do with all the recent quality releases and the upcoming releases. A lot of good games are out right now or will be released very soon taking attention away from MW3.

When this game releases, the post count will skyrocket (just as it did when Flight scored a copy). In comparison to the competition, there was also a beta as well. However, as already mentioned, there are tons of great games out right now and gamers are pretty content.

I despise:

1. People that quick scope.
2. People that think they are good at this game for doing it.
3. People that challenge you to 1v1 QS after you **** on them.

This for me was probably the most annoying thing in MW2 MP. Especially when me and my team were raping teams on a regular basis, I would get my inbox flooded with people talking trash challenging me to a 1v1 QS match.

First off, when did that become the accepted standard of match to play 1v1 and what does it prove? I could quick scope if I wanted to, but that is the MW version of cheese. Like I just **** on you 3 on 4 7500-500, what makes you think that playing 1v1 is going to change how bad you are? I just don't understand it.

Then when I would decline, they would talk more trash. I'm thinking, weren't you the kids that just got beat by 7000 points when you a player advantage. You sir, are trash.
