Fast paced and fun as hell.

Just enjoy both games. That's what I am going to do.

Honest response would be what type of game you prefer. If you prefer something that is slower paced , has vehicles, very large maps, and destructable enviroments then I would go Battlefield.

If you like something that is fast paced, never a dull moment, enemies around every corner and just fast paced mayhem, then I would choose CoD.

well said Crimsontide. I agree. both have their strengths (and weaknesses). that's why i bought them both. they feel very different when playing online.. and that's a good thing.

I'm sure they'll provide larger maps via DLC so I'm not too worried about that part.

Once I get home from work, I am excited to play the game. The only concern I have is the bullet damage as I'm not a fan of HC modes (but I'm assuming that can be patched fairly easily if need be) and the amount of <S>killstreaks</S> pointstreakes there are within the game.

Granted, I haven't played it yet, but how is increased bulled damage a bad idea? You obviously can either get kills or be killed faster. Try not to get killed lol

I feel like I'm playing Hardcore Team Deathmatch most the time with the increased bullet damage. It is their way of giving the bad players a chance, which is stupid. BTW, has anyone tried the Type 95 yet? Gun is unreal.

the IW (now sledgehammer) games have always only needed only a few bullets to kill you in comparison to the Treyach games. Black Ops was obviously the worst as u needed damn near a whole clip to kill someone.

Yeah Nuketown was one hell of a small map. So to say it is half the size of Nuketown would mean you couldn't move or have any buildings what so ever. Just be 16 players shoulder to shoulder.

Where's the dislike button RAW......how can you hate anything with zombies? J/k.... LOL!

lol i just do man. not a fan of them at all. i find no fun in games that include them in there. i barely got through Undead Nightmare DLC.

I will be playing the survivor mode on here though.

Im liking this game so far. I enjoy the kill confirmed matches. It promotes less camping with getting the tags.

I think the great thing about this time around is that everyone wins. There will always be people that have to trash anothers rival game, but in reality everyone is a winner.

Battlefield is amazing for what it is supposed to be, and by the same token...CoD is great for what it is supposed to be.

Both games are different and no matter which game one seems to prefer, there is a quality title out there to play.

No one is a loser this time around, everyone benefits.

I'm not doing this to flame, but I honest to god see nothing in this game that hasn't been done in the last 2 CoD's.

A new game coming out every year hasn't helped this series either, as an already mediocre game that manages to innovate one year (Modern Warfare) has essentially had make overs of different campaigns and some new (mostly stale and not very fun) maps.

One players opinion though, but if somebody could enlighten me as to any improvements that are actually relevant in the large scheme of things, please let me know.

Yeah its 4 for the full fledged map packs. They are doing monthly releases for 9 months though but the other 5 months will be smaller stuff.

What do you mean by smaller stuff? The other 5 months won't have map packs? So only 4 map packs then?

Its really no way to tell if your going to like the game or not looking at reviews because like all the people who have posted in this thread and battlefield, You have to play it yourself to get a feel and see what YOU yourself likes or dislikes

I'm a more successful player in BF3, as it's pace and being a bit more spread out favors a player like me, as well as it's focus on the team and points as opposed to kills.

However, I've enjoyed the COD games over the years, in particular COD4 and BO (combat training rules). I did not like MW2, too much gimmicks and hacking.

But MW3 looks like it will be fun too. I've picked up a copy for my wife today and I'm anxious to give Confirmed Kill mode a try.

I agree with Crimsontide27; everybody should find something to like in one (or both) of these titles this year.
