I'm enjoying the game for sure, but does anyone else feel that the maps all feel the same?

They dont vary much from eachother.

Most definitely.

Just read someone on another forum put it like this. Individually there is nothing wrong with most of the maps. Collectively they kind of suck because there is very little variety in their design.

Some of the maps feel the same for sure, but I think it is a great start. Let's not forget there are 12 more coming.

How conditioned, almost Madden Like, Activision has people where they will just accept the map design out of the box, only to look forward to paying for the more variety. Clever Activision, people will be bored to snots with the cookie cutter identity of all the maps, they will rush to purchase the DLC variety. PC gamer at heart for FPS games, buying maps...


This is not a knock to the game, but rather the business practices by Activision. You know this was done on purpose.

Once again my 4 man party is having touble getting into games and even more trouble staying in a game when it finally puts us in one.

Dude, please. I am not conditioned by any means. I have no problem paying for new maps on this game because I like the game and it keeps it fresh.

I payed for the whole thing up front because I can. I have the disposable money and I know I will play this game all year. I literally own maybe 3 games at one time.

I have also stated many times that I personally love the current maps and that they are my favorite of the series.

I started buying Map packs with Rainbow 6 and don't see an issue with it personally.

I liked the part when they had on those steel suits and you were able to mow down all the guards with ease. Also liked the part where you had to run and jump on to the helicopter, pull the pilot out and then knock the bad guy out of the helicopter.

Then you seen he was still alive and you 2 start fighiting and you hang him from the ceiling and you just sit there in the broken glass and light up a cigar.

I also liked at the beginning of one level when

he says, "Who the F calls themselves Soap ?"

I thought the ending was pretty solid but the previous MW games set the bar really high. I also wish there was an easter egg after the credits.

All the power to ya. I am on the other end of the spectrum. I choose not to pay for something that was always rewarded to gamers for loyalty appreciation, income has nothing to do with it...

E_PIC, Valve, etc still get this... Activision only gets this: $

You got over 10 million people buying your product, throw them a damn bone. You more than profited. But instead we make more programs (Elite) to nickle and dime.

But instead lets make the launch maps so identical, the DLC will scream of variety... I am sorry, but as a gamer who supports this industry like the next one, these practices are a slap to the face.

Yeah I've been trying to use the 360 app to no avail. It works sometimes, then it stops working and crashes. Still haven't gotten my founder status stuff either.

Good on Activision for extending this!

With the maps not feeling that different from one to another. This may keep the life span of the other COD's games.

There are suppose to be maps for Sniping, gunning , and in between.

Right now you can take a shotgun and run rapid in any map.

I average right around .45 k/d on both COD and BF.

I don't know if the DLC will scream of variety. Nobody does.

Whenever a game gets insanely popular, people who own the company figure out more ways to profit off of that. That is basic business.

Not sure your point about Valve. Last time I checked, L4D had dloadable content that you had to purchase.

You want the indie band who plays the small shows and hangs out afterwords with you. Well if they write enough great songs,that goes away because they play bigger venues and have to leave when the show is over to get to the next one. It's just how it is.

Video games will continue to make more and more money off of content downloads, because for a while many were losing on trade ins and used purchases.
