That is really sad about the hit detection and net-code for this game. This is something that plagued this series since CoD4. And has yet to change. And probably never will.

Over the years you would think they would "get it". It is almost Maddening!

I went over to a friend's house and played a few rounds online.

I'm not great with the 360 controller anyways, but it just wasn't any fun to me. I'll probably still GameFly it, when the availability is better.. just to finish out the story, but I have very little desire in the multiplayer right now...

I have 20 hours in already. I'm a middle aged man with a job (for now...)

Very addictive, its fun and the one more level, one more weapon level treadmill has me as hooked as any (looking at you WoW).

My 13 yo is grinding to prestige before he goes to bed tonight. I am around level 40 but have to stop for a while...I'm a little dizzy and I'm seeing the hit indicator when I close my eyes.

Nice! I recently discovered how much better the support package is than the assault. Getting a stealth bomber just about every match helps. Also going to unlock escort airdrop next time I have an available unlock. Seriously loving this game so far.

The heartbeat sensor is distracting to me. I find myself paying more attention to it then my surroundings.

I love the additions they added in Domination. If you capture a flag it counts toward your killstreak and if you shoot down enemy aircraft it also counts toward your killstreak. I've been using the Support Package more then anything else.

The only maps I dislike are Mission and Hardhat.

For anyone who's getting that weird delay of lag even if you have a good connection. Try turning off theater mode and then play, I've been hearing that theater modes been causing some lag for people in the hit department.

So I've poured about 14 hours into the game at this point.. I have a Gold G36C and my stats are pretty awesome. 2.90 K/D and about a 5.50 W/L. At the rate I'm going, I should prestige in about 2 days. I'm rank 64 right now... I play too much.

Agree with the people that said the maps start to feel stale after a while. First few days you're excited because they are new, and you're playing them for the first time, but after a while you start to realize there's not much diversity that separates these maps and they all start to feel the same.

I really think they took all the complexity out of the maps. I understand they wanted to simplify the maps because players complained of "camping" in mw2, I didn't think the mw2, or cod4 maps were all that bad in that regard.. and the complaining stemmed from people rushing into areas blindly without checking their danger zones.

Now it seems like they've really dumbed it down so that most of the maps feel like

Spawn ---- Narrow Choke Point ---- Opposite Spawn

and that's mostly it x3 for each lane... not much diversity. There aren't many multi level features, or long open sightlines... Almost all the encounters are Close range, to Medium at the farthest... honestly you could run around with Extreme Conditioning, and a Rapid Fire SMG, and or a Shotgun on about every map and not be hindered because there are very few instances where you get into a longer range encounter. Outpost, and Lockdown are really the only larger maps that have some sort of complexity to them, and even those are pretty basic to learn.

I still like the gameplay in the COD series, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in the Map Design in this installment.

Definitely going to give this a shot.

I disagree on the knifing. I even have stood behind a player and knifed him and missed. I don't know how many times I've shot someone, and it's like they have commando also. It also might have to do with the lag...This game is crazy right now connection wise. Sometimes it takes forever to find a game.

Probably the connection, with the ridiculous amount of people playing, it can affect that kind of stuff. Especially on your screen with your like a second behind the guy on the other end.

Give it a couple weeks and it will probably cool down and you'll start to see better connections.
