I ask this question to everyone here.
If you was the man in charge of making decisions for MW3, what fixes or adjustments would you put into place?
I would do the following.
All proficiencies would be gone. I want all guns to handle the way they should. We never had this in any other COD game, and I want to see who can really handle the gun they way it should.
Assault rifles act like assault rifles. SMG's being close qtr weapons and not something that cant nail a player from a very long distance. All sniper rifles would be one shot kills, if hit from the torso up to the head area, and quick scoping would be gone.
I would add larger maps for sniping.
Shotguns would be toned down to the point where you can't fire at such a high rate and I would tone down the distance they cover. I would remove the AA-12, because realistically this shotgun can hit a target accurately from 200 yards away. I would add shot guns that can hit a target from close ranges only.
I would immediately remove death streaks. I feel this is a horrible idea.
This one is major for me. I would make damn sure the hit detection is accurate. This one can be so bad it is painful to see.
Now this one would be number one on my list. Bullet penetration must go. I would really pay attention to what bullets can penetrate and what it can't. There is now way a bullet can be accurate to hit a target when going through thick blocks of concrete or solid steel objects. Even going through wood it is going to move away from its target. I'm so sick and tired of getting hit with a bullet when I clearly left that area, and the bullet somehow turns the corner to nail me. it's just the bullets are going through everything. It's annoying and this error really takes away a good gun fight.
I would make some adjustments with the kill streaks. EMP would be 25 kills under the support class.
I'm sure there are other things that can be done , but I will leave some for your guys.

Maybe because I'm new to COD but I'd make it that you'd need like 25+ kills to get a helicopter.
I'd get rid of those Akimbo guns...straight cheese.
Much larger maps.
Higher rewards for headshots. Maybe make some specialty perk for those who excel at it.
More respawn areas. It gets too predictable and the other team just camps out there.
I'd make dedicated team members. Like if you have a team of 6...you'd have 2 snipers...3 tactical guys and 1 loose cannon guy. I'd award them based on how they performed on their team...not just # of kills.Comment

wowww you hit this one right on the head I agree with everything 100% specially with the shotgun situation. To add on I feel If they want to cater to Noob tube lovers and have more grenade launchers in the game do one of two things to counter it. Bring back flak jacket from Black Ops or Make the trophy system block more then 2 grenades. How about Hardcore Capture the Flag where the hell did that go????Comment

The way they have it now isnt that bad, since it only takes 2 missles to take it down. The problem is not many peopel pull out the launchers to shoot them down.
I do every single time. I love shooting those things down quickly
Now the AKIMBO's this is !00% needs to go. Nice one on pointing that out. Man those things are so freaken cheap.

I can tell you that thank god grenade launchers in this game are not as bad as MW2. Man it was overdosed in that game.
Honestly I would love to see it gone, but if they have it I would counter it by only allowing one shot, and that is it. This will make players calm down about using it.
I would like to add that I would also only allow 1 grenade,1 flash bang, and 1 concusion.

Dedicated team members is cool, I've played a game like that, and it works out well. It should be only one sniper though, 1 support(LMG/Riot Shield/shotgun) and 4 rifles/smg.
I'd want to get rid of auto-aim, just to see how that turns out. Shouldn't need it, even if we're using controllers.
Oh, and grenades should be absolutely lethal. Only problem is people would abuse the **** of them, like they do anything else they can. Grenades now are mostly nuisances, where you have to be standing on top of the thing for it to kill you. Hey guys I was thinking about what they could do to eliminate campers that the team sits in a building or something and I think I found out a idea.
Make a killstreak under support that gases a selected building or area on the map. It doesn't kill right away but if you don't vacant the building it will. Sort of acts like the nova gas. The gas lasts for a certain x seconds. I would say 30 but it would really require testing. I say a support killstreak for 2 reasons.
1: If you encounter a team of campers chances are you are not goin to get a killstreak of the amount of kills to use it.
2: Basically it bases my points above. You can get a kill here, 2 kills there and so on but make it kind of high.
What ya guys think about the idea?

I think anyone who is not moving their feet for at least 10 seconds should start flashing red on the map.
Maybe make it into some sort of Perk for players to be able to detect campers.Comment

I agree with the people who mentioned larger maps. One of the reasons why I loved World at War was the amount of large maps. If this happens you are making snipers non-existent. Not the quickscopers, but the traditional snipers. Also people who are defending an objective are penalized. I'm not defending campers, but lets not penalized people for not running and gunning.

I hated World at War. Just, couldn't stand the game, easily my least favorite of the series. But the maps on it were awesome. I agree that I want bigger maps. I thought Modern Warfare 2's maps were great (though the DLC wasn't good). The only map on that game that I didn't like was Scrapyard (and if it weren't for grenade launchers, that one would probably have been fun too).Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment
