If you buy all your games only on console, you are doing it wrong!!!

I average between $5, $7, $15, or $29 for most PC games. I can't tell you the last time I bought a PC game for more than $30.

Splinter cell blacklist - $7
Far cry 3 - 7
Skyrim - 13
Sleeping dogs - 7
Tomb raider release day - 15
Dishonored - 6
Fallout 3 - 4

And the list goes on and on. I'm sitting at little over 100 games on PC (83 on steam, 10 to 15 on origin, rest purchased in store) and if you totaled up amount paid, the average per title would fall in the $8 to $10 range.

So short version is consoles are PCs with less ability and over priced games. If sport titles ever made there way back on PC, I'd sell my console today!

We don't really need a new PC right now, ours is ok for regular use and can play current games not bad.

I don't really want to spend the amount necessary for a decent PC that can handle the years (I'd rather spend that money on a nicer TV or something).

You have a good point though, the PC sales are pretty good. With GC unlocked though I get stuff way cheaper new (20% off even on sales is great) and usually make most of my money back when I sell it.

IMO I make most of the savings you see on PC back by re-selling the game when done (something you sadly can't do on Steam). PC is a good option though. I'd just more likely buy a laptop or something more portable instead of a power gaming system, but that's my situation and it's different from others.

If you are buying your games anywhere other than Best Buy, you are doing it wrong.

Best Buy is cool, but they don't carry alot of the niche jrpg's that I buy.

If you don't shop around and instead buy every one of your games at BB while ignoring all other retailers sales and deals, you're doing it wrong.

Lol.

Once again, if you are buying games anywhere other than BB, your math is very, very wrong.

BB should always be the end result.

No matter what scenario is used, BB wins and at the very, very worst, they tie. But that tie is broken simply by rewardzone point accumulation and price protection. So again, it isn't close.

If anyone needs help with this, send me a pm and I will walk you through the process and ethical tricks.

I am not going to get into an argument when it is as simple as 1+1=2.

Yep. I buy wherever I can get the best deal with coupons etc..
Either way no one should be paying full price all the time with the different options we have.

I will say this, at Bestbuy with GCU you NEVER pay full price. Also you end up with a free game after pre ordering and purchasing 5 most of the time. Pre order 5 games at $48 each end up with $50 in rewards certificates which nets you another game. All new games. Dont see any other retailer beating that.

I will say this, at Bestbuy with GCU you NEVER pay full price. Also you end up with a free game after pre ordering and purchasing 5 most of the time. Pre order 5 games at $48 each end up with $50 in rewards certificates which nets you another game. All new games. Dont see any other retailer beating that.

It's a good setup.
Once I get enough points I redeem a coupon (like I did for SE3) and paid 30 out of pocket.

I'm simply not paying the $ to join as I don't plan to buy as many new games as in my past. I'll grab used at GS and use the discount/coupons there and get the game for well below new price.

Again BB is a good option just simply not a "Must do it that way" thing especially if you can wait a week or 2 and get it used.
