Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
To everyone with the GCU, what are the trade-in values like? I'm going to go down to BB on the 5th to pull the trigger, and I'm sick to death of getting pennies for my games...

No bonus is usually better for higher dollar trade ins.
If you can get out of the rut of having a backlog, the $44 trade in for new releases usually holds for a good amount of time.
So when you get kicked in the balls by a game like UFC or just don't care for something like Watch Dogs or Wolfenstein, you can get $44 (40 plus bonus 4) back right away and up to a few weeks and sometimes months later can get $35ish.
Just use the BB estimator and add 10%.Comment

Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
I have a quick question before I head down to BB tomorrow. Is there any accounts I should make right now to tie with my GCU membership? I don't want to go there and have them asking me, "Do you have a _____ account?" and not being able to get me the membership.
Also, I read something about a +50% trade-in value deal at BB.. Is that still going on. I saw it was posted on reddit alongside the GCU deal.

Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
I believe you need a My Best Buy account (used to be called Reward Zone). There are no trade in bonuses at the moment, but unless you plan on trading in older games, those bonus deals don't matter because they generally lower the trade values on the newer games.Comment

Re: Official Gaming Deals Thread
In these kinds of situations, buying games is a matter of finding yourself...
Like the time I wanted to buy NR2003 so bad I was willing to die. Finally got a friend to sell it to me for $25 (life savings!) but my parents wanted to know where I got the dough, so I burned it into the hard drive and carried it with me, even after I enlisted in the reserve and ended up in the Service. In other words, it's a rocky road when you want to buy a game.Comment
