Personally have no background in Marketing (minus taking a class in college as a requirement). But BestBuy makes sense doing it as they have other products in their store (music, phones, computers, TV's, etc). BBGU brings customers seeking games into the store, which could lead to other product purchases.

As for GameStop, they are typically one dimensional when it comes to products sales, therefore deals like that doesn't possibly lead to other product purchases while in store.

Just my opinion and again my disclaimer, I have no knowledge of Marketing and do not use BBGC, but would imagine I would look around the store even if there just to pick up a game.

Yeah, I doubt they'd make much more offering those sales. Best Buy does use it as an added Reward, making people want to be more loyal for TV and other purchases.

I was pretty excited about this but I think I'm going to wait for reviews and patches before making a decision. The early impressions I have read have been disappointing. I don't understand why the character models look so bad.

GameStop is currently doing something like GCU/Prime but it's far worse and you have to be a PUR member. Basically, you pay $10 in order to get $10 OFF five select titles for a maximum savings of $50 which is actually $40 since you have to pay the $10 in order to be a part of the promotion. It's called the Spring Pro Gaming Pass.

GS is currently offering $150 trade in for original PS4 and also have a 50% trade in bonus on all tech... So question I have, does anyone know if the $150 includes the 50% bonus or will the 50% bonus be added to the $150 to bring trade in value to $225?

I could be wrong, but I believe "tech" is referring to tablets, phones, iPods and not game consoles.

I don't believe Doom is on sale at Best Buy. It's currently $39.99 ther pre GCU. It is $19.99 at GameStop for anybody that doesn't appreciate Mass Effect.
