Re: Far Cry 3
FC2 is fun to play, but honestly I find it a bit of a mess. FC1 had a nice story and scenery. Playing FC2 I got bored and had to play it again to finish it (couldn't bring myself to finish it the first time). The last mission was cool. Other than that it was pretty repetitive to me.
But to each their own, you might like it a lot. Just watch walkthrough videos on youtube, that's what I do. Still, not bad for $10.

I don't play online, so I can't comment about that.My Specs:

Re: Far Cry 3
It's definitely worth $10. The big problem with Far Cry 2 is that it got monotonous and had annoying respawning enemies at checkpoints in the road. It's fun though and I don't think that any other game has come close to making fire that is as realistic as in Far Cry 2.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
That was it for me. I was also disappointed that they didn't have any dangerous animals. When I first got the game I thought Lions, snakes, alligators ect were going to pop out. After a few hours I realized I was creeping around for nothing.
Cool game with poor design choices. ImoComment

Re: Far Cry 3
Yeah it came out at a time where there were a few Ubisoft games with great ideas but annoying issues. I sold my game before finishing because of the terrible respawn times at checkpoints, I would kill a group, walk a few feet, turn around and they would be there jumping jeeps to chase after me.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: Far Cry 3
I'm not even sure why they called it FAR CRY 2. It didn't really make sense to me that it's another Far Cry game. The first game was so great back then and quite unique. FC2 didn't seem like a FC game to me. I mean, it had some of the same elements, but it didn't feel like a FC game. But that's me.
I did play another FC game on the original Xbox, maybe Instinct, don't really remember. It was fun for a while, but couldn't match the first one. and the graphics in FC1 were better than in that Xbox game, in my opinion. My Specs:

Re: Far Cry 3
They don't really need to release any more teasers. I believe gamers are pretty much over-teased by now. Personally, I just want a full-length gameplay walkthrough. My Specs:

Far Cry 3 delayed to Dec. 4 in US, Nov. 29 in EMEA
Far Cry 3 is now set to launch on November 29 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and on December 4 in North America, Ubisoft announced today. The last release date we had for Far Cry 3 was set in September; as producer Dan Hay puts it, the extra time will be spent making the game "the best," rather than what we assume was "the almost best."
"We're taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience," Hay says. "Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players."Comment

Re: Far Cry 3
Seems like the best games get delayed. For a game like this you wonder if they measure the buzz created around E3 and then decide if they are going to put more money in it or not.
It's looking like a day 1 purchase for me even without the extra polish.Comment
