Re: ARMA III
I am gonna check out the MCC Sandbox mission editor thing. Anyone try it? It makes it super easy to create custom missions supposedly, it uses an advanced AI intelligence too.
As for PvP, I actually thought about the other day.. That would be freaking sweet. We could have a team have hostages, and seals trying to extract them. You can't just camp on this game like battlefield and crap because you will get destroyed. Would require excellent teamwork and the missions could be endless. Especially since you'd never know when the other team would show up.
Hell, we could even do 3v3v3 or something if that's possible. We could easily create scenerios. Damn I'm excited lol.
I didn't toy around with it a whole bunch, but from what I saw it had a lot of tools that could be used to make some fun missions. Like I said though, I mostly used it to place objects and not much else.
My buddy that plays with a group did a mission where it was a small team of 4 I believe against another team of which I don't know how many. The team of 4 also had an air support unit that was a real play.
The team of 4 was on foot, it was night, and they had lights on them that were only visible to the pilot on their side through a certain infrared vision or something. The other team they were playing against was all in vehicles and were supposed to keep them from doing something, but they had no idea where they spawned, came from, etc. They had to use their flashlights and headlights to hunt them down.
Something like that sounds awesome to me. I'm big on the missions that pit like 4 players against 10. I feel like missions like that in PvP require a lot of tactical work and are super intense for both parties. Give the 4 a nice bit of stealth equipment that helps balance it a little bit and I feel like you could set some awesome scenarios up.
I could always look into the editor with PvP stuff. I've put in near 100 hours just learning the editor for my Vietnam mission I was working on, but I bet learning a few things for PvP wouldn't be too bad and I could possibly throw some things together.
You guys give me the ideas and I'll look into it if you want.
And for curiosity, how do you all feel about having players actually being the hostages?Last edited by canes21; 04-05-2015, 02:36 PM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Good times last night. I got to practice more with the sniper and getting my range down.
Towards the end I was getting it better and hitting people at 60 meters. I wasnt getting a heads up display on my scope. Im going to get better at it though.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: ARMA III
Soooooooo all of my mods except for what is installed through the Workshop are no longer in the expansions menu. I don't know what happened to them. They are all still in my ArmA 3 folder like they always have been with the @"name" method, they just no longer show in the game to be enabled/disabled.
I don't know what to do exactly. Anyone else ran into this? I have 30 gigs worth of mods installed, so I really don't want this to force me to re-download them or something.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Bottom right just click the +folder and add the mod location. They will then show and be select able.Comment

Re: ARMA III
We need to run the "Heavy Metal v1.0" mission by AiZnhorn.
This is a full scale tank assault for up to 11 players.
I've played it on SP and it's badazz. We split up into different tank crews and assault an enemy armored position.AUBURN TIGERS

Also, down the road when we have run Modern Day Arma missions for awhile, we can switch it up and download the "Iron Front" game/mod and run some World War II missions.
