Yeah Phobia and I discussed that. Sucks also because that is litterally my favorite era with the weapons, etc.

Phobia and I should be getting on later tonight Paper and Red if you guys want to join us.

Decided to start learning mission making..

First run is a hostage rescue with an ambush.

Plan to learn more advanced techniques down the road. Be easy to set up some PvP missions for us too.

        Re: ARMA III

I played the living **** out of ARMA this weekend. I tested ACE 3 extensively and I can't run it properly until they optimize it. While ACE is going to end up bring a required mod, at this moment it can't be. Now I did test others and some are amazing.

First things first though, until all the mods get their issues ironed out with the latest patch so I can make a mod pack again. Everyone should download and install these mods on their own. Many are required and work as intended.

        New working version

        AiA TP: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26682

These two are required for a bunch of missions. Its basically takes all the ARMA, ARMA 2, and ARMA OA maps and brings them into ARMA 3. Plus RH Escalation turns all the weapons and uniforms into cold war era. There is 3 singleplayer missions included to run it, just to see how cool. I played some and love this much more than the default futuristic ARMA 3.

Another is the Afghanistan, Kunduz which is going to have some awesome missions.

I treied the TopGun mission and after 3 failed attempts to launch off the ship () I finally got up in the air only to get shot down. Lol. At least I got Danger Zone the play. XD

I won't be on tonight guys. I have 2 classes left before I graduate FINALLY!

First class is my final cumulative thesis paper.
Second class is a Humanities class.......old class from my second semester I've yet to finish.

I should be done in less than 2 months but in the mean time I will be doing a lot of writing and studying. So expect my days when Candy and others are not regularly on for me to be AWOL.

Tuesdays and the weekends will be my gaming time.

                Re: ARMA III

So after I got through studying last night, I knew it was to late for a mission. Instead I got started on a Kunduz mission using RH Escalation units and Leights OpFor Units.

My current idea is this. Let me know what you think.

A squad of Army Infantry are tasked with helping a badly damaged M1A1 tank limp through a Afghan city.

You are tasked with a simple walking patrol down the civilian filled streets of Kunduz. The M1A1 is tasked with moving behind you for protection. From there will be pretty much random encounters which will range in type. The chance of no encounters will be small but possible. So whether it is taking fire from a single unseen sniper, randomly placed IED, ambush from a squad of insurgents, or a insurgent rocket attack. The mission should be tense from the similar look of insurgents compared to civilians and not knowing which is a threat and also unsure of what type of attack could come.

Should take me a week or so to get all the triggers and spawn probabilities worked out.

                  Sounds good to me.

I'd like to do more combined arms missions. Maybe some medium to large scale tank/infantry engagements.

Escalation units include 80s/90s era Soviet and US forces correct? T-80 tanks, Hind attack helicopters, Apaches, M1 Tanks.....is that right?

Yup, I'm not 100% it has all those vehicles but I know that is the weapons and era.

Downloaded and installed the Middle East Conflict mod, love the unit options but with the new patch, some issues occurred.

Really stinks, I really wanted to make missions with Boko, Taliban, ISIS, etc..

I do to a degree, I don't get crazy with it unless it really requires it.

As far as i remembered in Arma 2 you had to give every command to get your squad mates to do anything at all.
