Re: ARMA III
Mod Pack Information
Looks like a couple mods have released new versions(leights opfor, Scopes, ASR AI3, and ACE3), BUT we won't update these for at least several months. The changes are not required and our current mod pack is perfect as is, if any changes or extra mods end up coming out that we will utilize in creating missions, I will add them through the standard hotfix. For now, don't worry about any more updates for a good little while.Last edited by Phobia; 05-27-2015, 12:06 PM.Comment

Re: ARMA III
Briefing Intel:
Situation:
In late 1989 the Polish Revolution took place and Marxist–Leninist government was overthrown and Poland adopted a new constitution, establishing itself as a democracy under the name Rzeczpospolita Polska. During this time of instability a Polish commander by the name of Amadej Boguslaw left the regime and took several hundred troops with him to form a small rebel army. They have taken and held the territory of Bystrica, and continue to make raids on neighboring areas taking food, oil, gas, and arms in an attempt to fuel its growing army.
The Polish newly formed Government does not want a public display of the revolt underway and have asked us if we could assist in a discrete manner. So we have chosen to assist by sending in The Marines to fix this unfortunate situation(These Marines later became known as "The Myths of Bystrica"). It is our duty to assist a newly developed democracy, helping Poland to get on their feet and prevent these communist scums from possibly destroying this countries god given right to freedom.
Mission:
It is 1993 and Boguslaw's army has grown slightly in size, they have also taken most of Bystrica. The United States Government has been planning for several months how to move in and remove Boguslaw & his communist army. The intended goal was going to be a simple assassination, Yet while moving troops into the Czech Republic we had a C-130 go down and crash on the shore of Bystrica river. We need to send in a small group of marines to inspect the C-130 and extract all survivors. We have also learned that one of Boguslaw's main Officers, Karol Lukasz is in the region and a convoy is incoming to resupply his base camp.
The main goal will be to extract all survivors, once this has been accomplished we need to move in, assassinate Lukasz, destroy the incoming convoy, and then extract safely.
Execution:
Good Evening Captain,
You and your team will insert by attack boat at 0430 up the Bystrica River to obtain access to the downed C-130. You need to get to the C-130 before the sun comes up, utilize the cover of darkness to mask your approach. It is worth noting satellite imaging has spotted light troop movement in the town east of the crash and a heavy presence in the city to the west. You need to get to the crash, and extract all survivors across the river to the marked extract location.
After extracting all survivors, our recon team has found a suitable overwatch location to safely eliminate Lukasz. You will need to move fast and have your sniper unit setup on this ridge before the sun rises.
You will then need to move the rest of your team & explosive specialist to a key intersection of road which will provide a perfect location to place charges for destroying the inbound convoy from the north.
Once Lukasz and the convoy are eliminated, move to the helo extraction point north of your location. Satellite imaging has seen spotted groups of resistance, but its one of the clearest sections to safely get your team out.
Good Luck and God Speed!!Comment

Simple test. Took me forever to learn how to get AI flown helicopters to land WHERE YOU WANT THEM TO and shut the helicopter engine off. After that, I had the Marine team exit the helicopter, walk to another vehicle, board it and drive off. I jumped for joy when I got it all to work.
Makes missions more realistic when you can get an AI helicopter to land at exact locations and turn the engine off.Last edited by Gotmadskillzson; 05-27-2015, 11:52 PM.Comment

Re: ARMA III
Enjoyed this video. I still haven't had a lot of time for gaming, just some sleepy evenings and some time on the weekends, or I'd try and join you guys. Instead I cathartically live through the thread and watch videos like this:
