I've published 2 of my "living battlefields" on steam.
Eastern Winds (US vs Russia in the Deserts of Takistan)
Thor's Hammer (US vs Russia in Chernaurus)
These are dynamic missions...that means changing weather, dynamic auto task generation, and real objectives generated by how the battle is going between the Russian and US commanders. Lots of toys to play with...helicopters, tanks, APCs, etc. They're a blast on both Multiplayer and singleplayer.

IMPORTANT NEWS
I've kept this under wraps for a little while, since I wanted to make sure I could get it to work correctly. So what I've done is break down the mod pack into 5 sections, Extra stuff, Units, Weapons, Vehicles, and Maps. I then uploaded these packs to the Steam Workshop as a "mod". What this allows me to do is this, you subscribe to the mod and from then on its out your hands, everything is done behind the scenes for you guys. If I make a change to a pack, then next time you get on it downloads the changes and you are back in the game. No more having to run out and download new stuff and figure out what is needed.
I was having a hard time keeping the mod pack up to date due to the size and not wanting you guys to be forced to download large files over and over again so I would neglect updating the pack. This will fix that and allow me to add in the update files at any point and it won't affect you guys.
Note: I'm will be uploading the userconfig tonight once I get home. The guys who already downloaded the pack won't need this so you guys just need to delete your old @OSTactPack then subscribe to the new steam workshop packs.

So once we subscribe to all these, what do we need to run in the mods section when we start the game up? Just Task Force Radio only or will those Steam packs be able to be selected as well in the mods section?

So that all remains the same, the only thing that changes is for you guys end, you no longer will need to actively go out and download any more of the mods when changes are made. Steam will update them automatically for you when I make a change to the pack. This makes it easier on me to update mods when they get patches and such. Plus easier on you guys since its a subscribe and forget kind of thing.
For Example:
Say we decided to add these F-16 retextures to the OS Vehicle pack.

On my end, I would update the OS Vehicle Pack, then edit the change notes with the included changes. On your end, next time you start steam, steam will automatically download the F-16 changes into your OS Vehicle Pack before you launch the game. I'm not sure why I got an error when trying to run Thor's Hammer last night. I only was running the OS pack and Arma acted like i was missing a file to run the mission. I can remember the specific error but if I could open the Steam page for the mission, I could figure it out. The page is giving me an error right now. I know it had to do with the mods list you have on there. It was odd.
Thanks again for putting together the missions and thanks to Phobia for the awesome work with the mod pack and great idea to include it in the Steam Community to help with updates, etc.

I was kicking myself for not thinking of this earlier. Took around 8 hours of work to transfer everything into separate packs and then get everything hosted on steam workshop. It would of made everything much easier if I did this from the start. Only good thing is from here on out its easy easy to update files/mods.Comment

I swear the error said something about an issue with a file related to Spetsnaz missing. Regardless, I will delete the OS pack tonight, subscribe to 5 mods through Steam, and try it again.

Robert Hammer filed a DMCA Takedown notice for my Unit Pack. Evidently he wants the pack taken down since it contains the RH stuff(I'm assuming him or massi).
I managed to hide all the other packs to just people who are friends with me on Steam. I was late getting to that Units pack so Steam might force it down. If so, I might have to rehost a new copy hidden under friends only.
Stay on stand by. Stupid, stupid stupid.
Edit: Once I get home from work, I will go ahead and take down the Unit Pack and rehost it. I think for all our convenience it will be best route. This way I will host it only visible to friends from the start and it won't throw up any red flags. Everyone here then won't have any problems with it going missing(getting taken down).
Disclaimer: Sorry for any inconvience guys. Luckily its only 2.4 gigs worth of data that will be needed to be rehosted and not all 28 gigs lol. It was stupid on my part to not host all of the packs as hidden. I didn't even consider someone claiming a DMCA since the packs are only for our squad to stay updated easy. Ok maybe not. Ran into a big snag, it is the ARMA 3 developers that contacted me. They removed all packs. SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well all I can do is I apologize guys. I'm really in a bind now because I deleted damn near everything and the old pack. So now I have to figure out a different option if Bohemia won't allow this route. Such a awesome easy fix shot down.

to be able upload content to STEAM Workshop for Arma 3
you need to obtain specific rights from content authors for STEAM Workshop
for every and any content included
STEAM Workshop is not some 'mirror' for hosting and website w/o rules!

no matter your intentions STEAM workshop for Arma 3 can't be used this way...
