Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
True! Ducktales was definitely one of my favorite games growing up.
I was also a big fan of Super Spike V'Ball!

Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
Hmm, I see a few of the 4-player NES sports games being mentioned.
This one was my favorite of that group:
Tecmo Super Bowl will certainly live forever as my favorite sports game of that era, but NES Playaction Football is the one that really started to help me learn the sport.
The SNES version took it a step further by including different, customizable league tiers - you could play in the Pros, College, or High School! Spent many hours recreating my high school team in that game.Comment

Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
I miss the good days of NES where almost every game was 2 player co-op. Didn't matter if the second player was just the orginal character with a different color outfit on, it was nice to be able to hook up with a friend or family and try to beat a game.....which was usually beatable in one sit-through.
Not sure if these games were mentioned yet but a few classics for NES was "Bad Dudes"(I'm Bad!) and the various Disney themed games like Ducktales and Darkwing Duck. Good times.
I'm made as hell my parents dropped 50 a pop on these games back then when you can fit a dozen or so on a small flash drive.Currently Playing:

Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
Also had to monitor your player fatigue and make substitutions, or risk injury.
This game actually predated TSB by a year so maybe it's unfair for me compare it to anything but original Tecmo Bowl, which it stacks up very well against.
Here's some video - I was looking earlier but had to settle for a screenshot:

Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
Definitely took more strategy than TSB, if for no other reason than you actually had defensive plays to select. It was my first introduction to real football concepts outside of trying to pick them up while watching the TV games.

Re: NES/SNES Gaming Thread
Scored today, I found an ad on CL and got 7 NES games for $7, including Strider and Adventure Island. I've never played the original AI, but am assuming it's as or nearly as good as the others in the series.Comment
