Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
Never seen anything quite like the Eleth Mixer...it's item creation of sorts, but it's unique in that it also acts as in-battle support. I haven't played the more recent Tales games, though, so if there was something like that in those I wouldn't know.Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
Literally only played 40 minutes, but for a Wii port, it looks nice - very clean.
Actually, the VA of Welch in The Last Hope (Laura Bailey) voices Cheria in Graces F.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
IGN review is up...sort of. It's un-scored - apparently because they're only about 20 hours in (a little farther than I am) and the whole game is 50 to 60 hours long!
The words in the review are pretty glowing though - not at all what I expected from IGN reviewing a classic-style JRPG. It's refreshing.

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
This is first Team Destiny Tales game I've played, and I'm liking most of their battle systems compared to Team Symphonia. They went crazy with this battle system. There's so many layers to it. I like CC more than TP. You can go all out any battle, but at the same time side-stepping is essential, as is hitting enemies with safer moves and not just spamming. Less item management and more experimentation with this system too. It sort of feels like Tales + SO4.
Moderate difficulty feels like the sweet spot. As it says in the menus, it's a "slight step up", but if you're not careful some enemies can hit hard. I will save Hard for New Game+ and a good grinding area for Titles.

Tales of Xillia Trademarked in Europe
Tales of Graces f has been out in North America for about a week and it appears Namco Bandai already has plans to localize the next game in the series. Siliconera found a trademark for Tales of Xillia in Europe’s trademark database. Yes, we realize Tales of Graces f isn’t available in PAL territories.
Tales of Xillia came out for PlayStation 3 last year in Japan. The game follows two lead characters, doctor-in-training Jude Mathis and spirit user Milla Maxwell, created by Tales artists Kosuke Fujishima and Mutsumi Inomata. Namco Bandai said they are looking to bring over more Tales titles beyond Graces f and Abyss, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed that this is more than a protective trademark.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Tales Of Xillia Trademark Filed In The U.S. Too
After filing Tales of Xillia in Europe on March 20, Namco Bandai registered the title in the U.S. a day later. Siliconera found Tales of Xillia registered for use with video game software and computer game programs in the USPTO
Namco Bandai has a press conference next month, so it could officially be announced there. It's probably going to be at least a year before it releases, but I'm happy it looks like we're getting more Tales.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
Good to hear that news.
In regards to the game: loving the battle system though I still wish I has free control of the direction I run instead of just forward and backward.
Also, why we still trusting Richard, Asbel? He crazy.Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
I love that this game lets you skip all the company logos when you start the game, this should be standard practice. Also time just flies playing this thing. Seems every night I'm shocked when I check the time and it's already 4 am.Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
All-Divide just saved my *** on a boss fight....that's a helpful little item.
Definitely getting most of my challenge from the boss fights, as the normal encounters have been pretty well on the easy side on Normal difficulty.Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
I'm playing on Moderate myself. When I get a good time to spend to myself I'm going to load up on Dark Bottles and grind abilities from titles. Hard Rpg habit to try and break.Comment

Re: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
Also, I noticed this last night, there's a free 1000 gald to start the game on PSN.Also they have +5 levels for all characters for $3 up to level 200, plus a ton of other ridiculous microtransactions.

Don't grind like that, the game is designed to be played through multiple times so just grind through multiple plays.

I didn't even use the Gamestop bonus titles - just loaded them up once in a seperate save file to see them and never used them again.Comment
