    Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The story started off so ridiculous I haven't bothered with it. I also thought "didn't Commander Shepard already blow up this reaper?" at the start.

I'm just swinging around picking up the comics. Sloppy indeed. "Press RB to collect comic" alright! *Presses RB*....is on the ground now with no comic. That's the most common one. The best one was getting stuck to a mailbox. Very poor AA,lots of jagged edges. Combat is kinda fun but I guess he's a luchadore now. Hurricanrana's and spinning arm drags all over the place. Plus there's lucha posters in his room. Did 2 boss battles so far and both were extremely repetive and unintresting.

If you set the system date to December while offline it'll unlock the icons for costumes.

This game is very fun. I love the web-slinging and the Arkham City style combat.

Gliding around the city is pretty fun, I must say. Even if your web is attaching to thin air.

Even in the comics wasn't it like this lol? I never saw Spiderman in a suburb saying, "Holy crap! Only one storey buildings. I guess I'll have to get a cab." There was always an unrealistic aspect to web swinging imo.

Yeah, I remember thinking that even as a kid. I also used to ask myself: "What's happening to all the web after Spiderman moves on? Does it stay hanging there forever? Will he reuse them? Don't people notice it?".

                I guess I was a weird kid...

Yes I was refering to the first boss being a lot like a part in ME 3.

Anyway this game got a whole lot worse, damn near unplayable and I shut it off in disgust. Of particular note is the awful camera in enclosed spaces and while you're on the ceiling.

Wasn't there an episode of the cartoon that basically answered fan questions the first half of it?

From the reviews and impressions, this sounds like a pretty solid game for a movie tie in. I will defiantly pick this up somewhere down the line, when it drops in price.

Just curious, for the people that played the X-Men Origins Wolverine game, would you say this game is as good or better than that game? I really enjoyed that game, even if it had the potential to be a even better than it was.

I think it's better, though I can't say Wolverine is very fresh in my mind. The combat will be similar, but I think the story is better plus it is also free-roam. It's trying to be Arkham City for spiderman. I think I'm having more fun flying around the city in this one than in AC, however I can't say any other element holds a candle to AC or Asylum for that matter.

Still a worthwhile game, though I'd wait for a price drop or just redbox it like I did.

Bought it from the PSN store, still downloading. Shesh been on a game buying spree lately, so many games, so little time From the sounds of the impressions here and the early reviews so far it's an above average marvel game. Which is fine with me, should be a fun romp even if some of the side missions sound like they get a bit repetitive.
