What was the longest you ever played a game in one session? a couple years back myself and a good buddy of mine played Ratchet and Clank deadlocked for 5 hours straight (we beat the game).

I don't remember what it used to be, when I didn't have other things in mind, but I must have played for long hours. The past few years, when I'm busier, I mainly play at night, so I can't really play more than 2 hours before I get exhausted. I usually get to the shower before going to bed, so my showers are usually at 12:30 am if I play video games.

I put in all-nighters continuing into mid-morning of Madden and Live too many times to mention back in the day. 5 hours...I put 5 hours in Skyrim last Saturday.

I'm averaging 6 hours a night every time I boot up Skyrim. Usually from 9 PM to about 3 in the morning... Might explain the dark bags under my eyes.

Longest has to be over 12 hours back in the day (Mid 90's) when my college roommate and I had 3 PlayStation hooked up in the living room and had a Madden/NCAA tourney. Looser just rotated to a different system. Oh, to have that much time on my hands again.

Man how I wish i was a kid for the next month or so. With all the games out I would not have to worry about going to work, and could knock out my homework in 30 min, then have the energy to sit and play the game for hrs on end with no worries lol.....

But back in high school I would start playing madden, live, 2k college hoops, or gta4 at around midnight and wouldnt until about 3. Then have to get up at 5:45 the get ready for school.....Man i miss those days

18 hours straight back in the 90s when the Playstation first came out.

18 hours straight playing Wing Commander 4, Civilization 2.

Many years ago...my estimates would be NHL on Sega Genesis for 10-11 hrs.

NHL of all games? My friends and I loved that game.

Recent years, NCAA 11 for probably 6 or 7 hours.

Well just this past week I have put 11+ hour sessions into Skyrim. I remember back on one of the NCAA Football games for the xbox, me my friend and my dad started a dynasty around 10AM and played it until about 5AM the next day.

This is an interesting question for sure. I think i can say my longest was when Max Payne 2 hit i stayed up for somewhere between 24-30 hours straight to beat the game only ate once in that span. Love that series. When Max Payne dropped i think it was 3 days straight of 12 hour sessions.

Legend of Zelda for the NES. Went over to my friends house We started at 6 PM didn't stop playing till 5 am.

Oh the good old NES days.......when you had to blow in it to get it to work or dip a q tip in alcohol and rub it across the connectors on the cartridge.

I still remember my older sister dropped my Legend of Zelda on the floor on purpose and chipped my gold cartridge. I was so upset I instantly slapped her in the face.

I'm sure I've lasted longer than twelve hours before. Back in the day, when my late best friend would sleep over, we'd hang out in my entertainment/guest room that had two smallish televisions (like a 14" tube and then this 4 1/2" thing lol). He would bring his Dreamcast and I would use my PS2, and we would play our respective 2K franchises (be it football, baseball, basketball, or hockey). Sometimes I would switch it up and get some GTA in or whatever, but the point is that if he came over in the evening and we started a gaming session, and perhaps pulled an all-nighter, I could see how we could have at least gotten past ten hours or so.

Every so often, when I'm hooked on a new game (like the ones I have been recently), four hours seems pretty easy to come by if I actually have the time with it, especially if I'm well rested so I can go into the wee hours of the night.

EDIT: Oh, the same game? Well, probably still one of those games... or Sim City for SNES.

I feel like I've spent quite a few all day sessions of Final Fantasy X, was such a good game I could have played over and over. KOTOR was one of those as well, prolly pulled an all nighter playing MW2 with some buddies

Had to be one of the PS Final Fantasies, most likely 8 or 9. It was around the time I beat 9 in 2 or 3 days (granted, not finding/doing everything, but that was still a solid 40+ hours of gaming) that I decided to stretch out my sessions a bit, especially for RPG's.

I don't have an exact length, but if it wasn't a school day the next morning, I probably went more than 12 hours on those two games.

I still pull all-nighters, though they don't typically start until around midnight anymore.

I believe my longest gaming session was 18 hours on Everquest (or Evergrind at that time) for PS2. It was right after the expansion came out and everyone was rushing to get to the max level. I rarely spend more than 2 hours a day playing games, except for the day Dark Souls came out. I think I spent about 7 hours just trying to get past that Taurus Demon. Now it doesn't take 10 mins from the beginning.
