Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
True. There are zombie-esque (though, they seemed more like the "28 Days Later" type of 'zombies') characters but it's not like it's I Am Legend.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I would compare it more to The Walking Dead than I Am Legend. I get the impression that the other survivors are just as, if not more, dangerous and vital to the story/game than the "infected."
Then again, I haven't seen much of the game yet, so this is all speculation on my part.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I have no issues with survivors or anything like that... street bums, hicks, robbers or whatever the case is.. once it starts getting into walking diseases and all of that, that's where games lose me
They completely screwed the pooch with Crackdown 2 doing thatComment

This doesn't seem to be the typical Resident Evil-type zombie game where the zombies/creatures are the main enemy. It looks as though other survivors will be your main enemy and your survival is based on how you interact with them as much as the "infected" of the game.

The Walking Dead/28 Days Later, where the other survivors are just as dangerous to be around as the infected are good comparisons.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I'm with you on zombie's they are not my thing and it seems like alot of games have them in them now days. I loved Walking Dead but it was more about characters then the zombies in the first game. So I'm also hoping for something like that and I'm more encouraged then I was after seeing the first trailer.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

You're right though, I don't like these aspects much either. There is one other game which disappointingly features it, but I will not name it as it would be a spoiler for the story. I will say that it came out in the past twelve months, though.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

You had no problems with Uncharted's supernatural elements?

That stuff just isnt fun to me though. Its becoming to be an oversaturated theme now and I dont like the trendComment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Judging from what I'm seeing, the infected part is just part of the backdrop, the depth of the story and what drives the plot. Calling it a zombie game just seems disingenuous.
I mean looks to be a game where you do more hiding and running from infected than mowing down wave after wave of them.Comment

And I never even looked at it. I entered the code on qriocity but forgot about it and never downloaded. I just downloaded and switched but I'm not sure for how long, I had been using the SOTC dynamic theme since the HD collection released and I really like it.Comment
