Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Odd. At random intervals, the game will have a controller prompt that makes it look like the game is saying thump one end of you controller on the ground. What does that even mean?
Edit: Also. If it feels like you're outgunned or way too many infected, RUN THE HELL AWAY. The game won't treat you like a coward if you do. Hell, I feel like a boss every time I escape a crappy situation.Last edited by Eman5805; 06-16-2013, 02:38 PM.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Wow, I'm loving this game so far, started it this morning & just put it down to take a little break lol (very hard to pry myself away from this game). Has anybody touch multiplay yet??... if so how is it?? I don't plan on getting into the multiplay until I finish the story.
I play this online with two buddies who also got this game. (We all traded our xbox 360s for PS3s just for this game and the show.) We have been doing really well just sticking togeter, talking about where and what the enemies are doing. The last thing you want to do is get stuck alone, even if you drop someone chances are another guy is close by and heard your gunshots and is coming to get you.
Then outside of the actual gameplay is the "survival" type deal with your "clan." If you link it to facebook it populates the people in your camp with people from your facebook page and it will pop up telling you what they are doing, who is healthy, who is sick. You go into every game knowing how many supplies you need to keep everyone alive and get more survivors. Then periodically throughout it you will get missions that will either keep your current survivors alive or get you a handful of new ones. (Twice I've had the game ask me to choose 2 of 3 names from my facebook page to save after an attack)
You have to survive for 12 weeks, the more survivors in your camp the more supplies you need to gain. As you go on in time (each game is one day) the missions become more difficult. The good part about the missions is you get to choose them. While I might choose to get 15 executions over the next three games, my buddy who doesn't get as many kills will choose to spot 20 enemies over the next three games for his mission.Last edited by thedudedominick; 06-16-2013, 02:35 PM.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
OH. It's one of those shake 'em up lights. Nice. I like that.
Also...
SpoilerJust got to the part where you have to jump start a generator after you're separated from Ellie. Moment I saw it, I was like... "This is gonna draw infected like buzzards to carrion." So before I did it, made sure I went around and scavenged every single scrap I could. Thinking I'd have a tough, but manageable fight.
Wrong.
A bloater came out and got his hands on me. Uh...yeah. No thanks. My new policy is what I posted just before. Run the hell away unless I can't. And if it's humans, sneak by them.Comment

Im with you, man. I keep a brick for attacks, ill switch if a bottles near for distraction. I like hurling a brick on some craig vs dbo tip then rushing the guy.5Comment

I knew that generator was going to attract everything, so I ran upstairs after it started thinking that was kind of the point, didn't know it was necessary to unlock a key carded door.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
i picked this game up the other night after reading the responses on this thread. This game is possibly the best single player experience i have played to date on current gen consoles. Ive just met up with bill and have been just trying to slowly creep through the game and investigate all the areas i can to find whatever i can for equipment. once im done with the single player ill dive into the multiplayer and see how that is.
