Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Well I didn't actually play the game so my opinion isn't as valid but I just felt like they became a routine enemy. The fact that you could sneak by them (even when very close) without their supersonic hearing alerting to your presence made them feel like less of a problem. Early in the story, one clicker is a huge deal but later on they didn't have that same intimidation. Once again, I wasn't crouching behind cover crafting shivs and throwing bottles around so I just speak from a story perspective.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
SpoilerI get that, but I think she would've gone through with it, which is why he had to lie to her in the first place. What I didnt get as well is why they couldnt just take tissue samples or blood samples instead of extensive surgery?
I guess everyone was selfish, but that guy in the snow could've killed her without her ever knowing he knew who she was the entire time, but he let her go. In the end it was just a game of a people without hope, no answers and nobody really trying to find any accept those at that hospital. Everybody else was desperate and selfish.. but still all of that killing, the ending was a let down
SpoilerThe guy in the snow, he didn't kill her because he wanted her to lead him back to Joel. He then tried to **** and eat her, so....yeah.
As for the Doctors at the hospital, we don't know that they were the only ones looking for a cure, in fact we know VERY little about what FEDRA, the government, the CDC, etc were doing. All we know is The Fireflies had a couple doctors that wanted to experiment to find a cure, they could have been drummed out of the CDC cure research for being stupid, shoddy research techniques, or for being cruel resorting to Mengele-esque experimentation out of desperation. We can't assume anything about these doctors without them talking to us, but we are expendable just like Ellie.Comment

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!
I turn on the game and hit Continue and it takes me to where I am...ok cool. I play through it and get pretty far but when I die it takes me back pretty far. Ok whatever. I hit restart encounter one time instead of dying and it takes me back even further! and then autosaves from THAT point! I mean, further back from where the initial continue game was from.Last edited by franch1se; 06-18-2013, 03:26 AM.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Since I finished the story, I decided to play some multiplayer. I really like the direction they went with this. Here is some gameplay footage I uploaded.

Also some tip: save you ammo for Clickers. Don't waste them on runners. Also try to be tactical with all your shots when fighting humans, flank them and try to get them in hand to hand combat when possible. Bricks and bottles are also your best friend to either distract a enemy or stun them.
I have been sneaky 90% of this game so far. I think I have killed like 30 people with weapons so far. Everything else has either been sneak killed or avoided all together. I got full ammo on everything including Molotov's, full med kits and shivs incase I get to a point to just say F this and go on a all out killing spree. Lol. Love how the game rewards me for being stealthy/conservative with items.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Think I'm gonna go pick this baby up... (but I still haven't finished Far Cry 3....
I'm enjoying the heck outta Far Cry (due to the fact it's seems more open world-like AND I feel the replay-value is better.
I know it's difficult, but.........

What you've described has happene to me a few times, but check this...
On two seperate enemy encounters, I've managed to have the game reload me after dying at a checkpoint AFTER the enemy encounter. Meaning, they've killed me and when the game reloads the enemies are all dead/cleared. I think this is being caused by me having Joel reach the advancement part of the level while simultaneously (or just before) dying.
I like freebies like anyone but I do not like not earning my progress (though I'm not going to lie...one time it happened after I had died at the same part like 7 times. It was like the game had mercy on me and said, "Clearly you're never going to get through this. Go ahead, carry on.").
Very strange.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I think I can say this without spoiling a thing.
Winter is without question the greatest single stretch of sequences I've ever experienced.
Anyone who hasn't gotten there yet is in for a treat. Now to see if Spring can live up to it...
Edit: And something else, this game gets pacing. It understands the roller coaster of emotions of the players and it leaves just enough space between encounters or long, quiet relaxation periods to keep you from becoming a nervous wreck.Last edited by Eman5805; 06-18-2013, 01:20 PM.Comment
