People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack Lambert -
Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I finished it. What. A. Ride. Definitely going in for a New Game Plus. I'm going to assume I start with all the weapons, or at least all the upgrades, I ended the game with. Should make the early missions decidedly unfair. Either that or they are going to scale up by adding tougher enemies. We'll see.
About the ending itself?
SpoilerThis is the kind the thing I want more movies, books, tv shows, games, whatever. I need more games to have moral quandaries. To have the protagonists not be pure paragons of righteousness. Joel is actually quite a sadistic bastard.
Torturing people for information, getting said information, then killing them anyway. Gunning down harmless surgeons who are just trying to cure the disease, which I felt was doomed to fail, by the way. They didn't even know if culturing the infected brain tissue to replicate the disease would even work. This was just the closest they'd probably ever get.
It was real. That's why it was so fun a storytelling experience. There was no magic solution, a random passerby that happened to be immune to so everyone gets their happy ending. No. Joel made his choice, knows it has serious issues.
Then looks Ellie right in the eyes and lies to her.
Perfect way to end the story.
It's easy to see why this game got perfect scores from almost everyone (Gamespot, smdh). The game nailed everything. Name a game aspect, and it was just perfectly implemented.
It rewards smart players for being conservative. Like me with the flamethrower. I only used it in emergencies when I got myself trapped and/or was low on health with no health kits. I'd let enemies get right up on me, then whip that bad boy out and burn them to ash. haHA!Comment

Nope, no specifics yet. None of the DLC has been released yet, but I'm excited. Still going through the story.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
As far as game completion goes, is this one of those games where 100% completion accounts for just the story, or does it included extra goodies and hidden things that you can find while playing?
I'm right around 10 hours played with 61%.. I'm just worried the game is getting close to ending, lol. Now, more than everComment

Anyone know what happens if you delete your profile? I of course would back it up to a USB before. I don't want to delete it if you cannot transfer profiles (for the re copying back to the system from my usb).
What I'm trying to do is, in the xmb my profile says completed on normal. I am curious if I can delete and re load a save I have and finish it on hard then that that way I can play new game plus on hard.

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
11 hours in and only 62% complete = my kind of experience.
Spoiler
Henry blowing his brains out left me with my mouth wide open. I am really enjoying this game.
Oh yeah, **** those Bloaters!
On the part where you have to start the generator, and run in the room with the Bloater, I must have died 20 times before I passed it. I guess it wasn't so much the Bloaters, but the runners and clickers that were in the room as well.
I'm at the power plant right now and just met up with Tommy. Can't wait to get back home and play some more!
SpoilerI got through that part the first time I did it. I think I did things backwards and it actually helped me. I found the door first, then all the runners started banging around. I killed like 2 of them, found the keycard, then promptly realized the door needed power after trying to open it turned on the generator, then I "saw" the bloater by listening for a quick second, but I ran up the ramp/collapsed part of the building before it even noticed me and dipped out the door. No incident with it. I wasn't even sure it was a bloater.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Finally caved and grabbed it today.
I told myself no more holding off.
Traded in a ton of old games. MLB the shows 09,10,11, & 12, NBA jam, NCAA football 10,11,& 12.
Didn't pay any money out of pocket ended up getting 65 and now have 5 dollars and some change I can put towards any ps4 game I'm looking at getting which is going to probably be NBA 2k14.
