It never got sorted out, my save file still shows me as having one fewer collectible then the in game portion adds up to but all the trophies popped for finding all collectibles, which is strange since it didnt give me the one for finding all the firefly pendants which is included in the collectibles section in game.

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Yeah stupid real world work preventing me from finishing it!
Now I'm here thinking about Ellie and Joel, lol.
Btw regarding the end of winter:SpoilerWas that guy trying to rape Ellie or just kill her at the end? The way she reacted seemed to point to the rape since she has been close to be getting killed before but maybe I'm over thinking it.
I was half hoping that Joel come in and torture his *** for a bit though.SpoilerPretty sure Rape, she came close to dying many times so I don't think that's what traumatized her. After that scene she showed some signs of PTSD. Also, when Joel found those 2 guys and had them tied up, one said "she's David's newest pet".Last edited by franch1se; 06-24-2013, 11:46 PM.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
In response to some ending talk:
SpoilerSomething interesting happened when I got to the end. I went into the operating room. The doctor pulled a knife on me saying that I can't take him. I surprised myself in that I realize that I probably could've just punched him. But my thought process actually went, "If the story makes Joel fail, I can't let these doctors go to try again." So I capped the guy with the knife point blank. The other nurse panicked. So I capped her too. The last start wailing about me being a madman. Which made me actually hesitate and my thumb twitched. I shot her in the chest or stomach. And she didn't die.
She started sobbing or something. And I didn't shoot her again. I just went to Ellie.
Christ. I got so into that moment, I felt what Joel was feeling.
And then at the end, when Marlene goes "Let me go." And Joel says "You'll only come after us." *double tap*
I totally called it.
Man. Immersion. Total immersion.
I hope that there's more of this kind of writing and event scripting going forward. Games, movies, books, Sesame Street. Whatever.SpoilerI was so jacked by that point, after the shootout in the hallway, that I took the flamethrower to the doctor and nurses.Comment

SpoilerI noticed if you have the optional convo with him and show him the letter from Frank he throws it on the ground and you can pick it up again. Wonder if it counts as two or something wierd.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
Started my second play through on Hard! It's been excellent. I've gotta say, I'm so much better at this game now that up until about 20% complete, I hadn't died at all! It's great completing the combat quickly as it really keeps you immersed in the story.
But...now I'm stuck. Again, I'm at around 20%. Question:
Spoiler
I've just met Ellie and I'm with her and Tess and I'm at the part where I need to clear (or bypass?) the ground level room with the sleepers and runners (by myself). There's a dumpster on a raised plain where I think the exit is. But it's on a slope so every time I get to it and move it, it slides back and makes crazy noise and alerts the infected.
Do I need to kill all the infected in this area? Is that the right door? I want to stealth through it but I can't remember if it's possible?
I can't remember how I cleared this section in my first play through. I really hate to use my shivs here. Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to sneak past this part or not? Or do I NEED to kill them all soSpoilerTess and EllieComment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I kind of wish that I still had a PS3 for this one. I've been watching some guy play for the past couple of hours on a Twitch stream and the game is really nice. His commentary was cracking me up too, so that added a lot to it. He quite playing because he wanted to watch WWE, but I liked what I got to see.
He also seems like a pretty nice guy so I recommend giving his videos a shot.
Search "Last of Us stealth walkthrough." You'll find it.Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 06-25-2013, 10:31 AM.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
I clearly got through it the first time. But now I'm like, "What the heck is that dumpster doing there?"
I think I must have killed everything that moved in my first play through. I must have. But I'm stuck and just want to get through kill-free (if possible).
Let me know if you figure it out.Comment

Re: The Last of Us (PS3)
So just to be clear, as far as you know, this area needs to be cleared (meaning all enemies have to be killed) in order to advance. Is that correct?Comment
