Had to be realistic with myself and realized that im not gonna have tinme to play and appreciate this game with classes starting back up next week. So i started watching the play through youtube and its STILL awesome. Im only on part 4 of 23 but i love it

Was that guy trying to rape Ellie or just kill her at the end? The way she reacted seemed to point to the rape since she has been close to be getting killed before but maybe I'm over thinking it.

I was half hoping that Joel come in and torture his *** for a bit though.

There was also the part to consider what he said to her while she was in the cage when he held hand and saying that he had to make the guys believe she would be "cool" which kind of suggested that she would be used for the very purpose of something sexual. Then she snapped that bastards finger after pretending she was going to submit to it to his suggestion.


Loved that part.

Have avoided this thread until release and just beat the game on Hard! Credits rolling right now. That was freaking awesome!

Just beat the game. Took me 17:21:21 on normal.

Found 75 collectables.
22 Molotov kills
9 Bomb kills
24 Upgraded melee weapon kills
105 melee weapon kills
266 melee kills
74 choke outs
30 shiv kills
316 fire arm kills (Went up a lot towards end of game)
61% accuracy (Went down drastically towards the end of the game because of the final weapon. Couldn't aim the damn thing at all. Was like 80%...)

Also noticed these stats, ill spoiler them just in case:

Stalker Stealth kills and Close Range Bloater kills. Thought you couldn't stealth kill stalkers and how in the hell are you suppose to get close to a Bloater? Lol.

I am 47% done. I am now at:

Crossing the bridge out of Pittsburgh with my new found companions.


I was not able to play last night.....going through withdrawals here at the office. I must play at least 2 hours tonight.


Thus far my favorite things to do are use my bow and arrow and molitov cocktails. I love drawing in 2-3 hunters and then burining them to hell.


I am playing on normal....and I can't wait to play through this again on hard. I can't even imagine Survival mode without the listen feature.....I would be shaking in my shorts without that ability. To me having the ability to listen is crucial to moving in stealth and avoiding confrontation at every turn.


On Hard is it more intellgent AI and even more limtied supplies?

I clearly got through it the first time. But now I'm like, "What the heck is that dumpster doing there?"

I think I must have killed everything that moved in my first play through. I must have. But I'm stuck and just want to get through kill-free (if possible).

Let me know if you figure it out.

Unfortunately,I don't think it's possible unless you kill everything....because I remember playing through on normal and after killing everything,Joel say's "all clear".

I'm about at this point myself only playing on survivor,but I DID have problems on my first run through on normal,so I'm not looking forward to it this time around...lol

I wouldn't use any shivs as you'll need those later for obvious reasons...I believe you'll just have to shoot the clickers,and stealth the rest....one thing though...make every shot count....

Yeah I didnt even hesitate, I figured the doctors were as deranged as the rest so I didnt hesitate putting one in each of their heads.

I was so angry when I walked into the operating room with what they were going to do to Ellie that I lost myself. I shot the first one in the head, second doctor got their skull smashed into the wall, and the third one I shot with my shotgun and the blood was splattered all over the wall. LOL!

Yeah I didnt even hesitate, I figured the doctors were as deranged as the rest so I didnt hesitate putting one in each of their heads.

I kind of wish that I still had a PS3 for this one. I've been watching some guy play for the past couple of hours on a Twitch stream and the game is really nice. His commentary was cracking me up too, so that added a lot to it. He quite playing because he wanted to watch WWE, but I liked what I got to see.

It's worth getting the system alone just to play this game even if you bought a used system to resell.

The bloater in the basement? Tight quarters, that really creepy corridor, sloshing around in the water, and dark. He could be waiting for you around any corner you turn. First few tries I played it all wrong. I knocked out his cohorts with a couple well-placed bombs but I made the mistake of trying to gun him down by keeping my distance with my hunting rifle. Eventually I ran out of ammo and tried a molotov (which I hadn't realized until then was the best way to take them out) and the bastard went down in flames.

I was gripping the ole controller a bit hard during that fight.

It doesn't really matter I guess since the trophies popped for you but out of curiosity did you notice the discrepancy before or after meeting Bill?

I noticed if you have the optional convo with him and show him the letter from Frank he throws it on the ground and you can pick it up again. Wonder if it counts as two or something wierd.

Noticed it before meeting up with Bill.

I had the keycard but for some reason couldn't get the door open! LOL! I think I got all flustered out of fear!

I'm honestly a little nervous even thinking about playing this scene again. It was definitely the creepiest.

So just to be clear, as far as you know, this area needs to be cleared (meaning all enemies have to be killed) in order to advance. Is that correct?

the bricks laying around are you friend beat down the runners with them and run like a mad man for top level where extra bullets are lying for the clicker
