I wish there was an option to play the game with zero on screen help for pick-ups and such. I started my second playthrough on survivor and I just wanted it to feel as real as possible. It's mainly the white circle to open doors and such. I turned off all the help in the gameplay options, but there are still a few "help" things that show up. I already think it's more difficult/tense wthout the option to use the R2 "focus" feature.

That being said, I'm thoroughly enjoying my second playthrough already. This is the only the second time I've ever wanted to replay a campaign. (First was Splinter Cell: Conviction).. Apparently, I like stealth games. The Last of Us is my game of the year.. Actually my favorite game of this console generation.

Also, I'm loving the bonus skins and such that you can use once you beat the single player. Stuff like that, for me, really makes a second playthrough fresh.. and gives me some incintive to beat it on Survivor. Then I hope to try it on Survivor Plus to totally rank up my weapons and skills.. we'll see if I make it that far.

I didn't realize how powerful the bow was until I used it with Ellie, so my second playthough will be more bow.. more stealth. Can't wait to play again..

I totally forgot I even had the smokebombs, probably would have come in handy too. Oh well.

I remembered I had them, but when I could use them I didn't have enough parts to craft them. I remember only using them in three spots though.

I just beat the game a second time on Hard. It took me 19 hours and 40 minutes to complete. 62 deaths; not bad!

Man, every moment of the last 10% of the game still gave me chills. From the

giraffes, to trying to rescue Ellie from the water, to the double sack shots to the Firefly guard and right through the ending cut to black;

I was on the downswing of an emotional roller coaster that I never wanted to stop.

So I noticed something with the last comic book collectable of the game last night. If any of you have found it, I definitely suggest you read the back of it as it really parallells the story quite nicely. Not quite an Easter egg per say but I thought it was a nice touch by ND to help amplify the emotions of moment.

I honestly think I'm going to dive right back in for play through number three on either Hard+ or Survivor (never played a game this may times in a row before). Not sure yet. Either way, I somehow managed to miss

so I'm really looking forward to that this go-round.

Two play throughs, zero smoke bombs thrown. I don't known what it is about them I just never feel the need to toss one. I honestly never even think about it; almost like I forget they're not in my bag during the heat of the moment.

I think the big thing with them is the instant kill melee attacks to enemies inside the smoke.

I like it better picking them off one by one, especially in the same spot, guy walks up on a pile 3 deep of his buddies and death.

I rarely used the smoke bombs. I loved drawing a group together and throwing molotovs though.

I never thought to do this - but when playing as Elle apparently she has a note from her mom and other good stuff in her backpack. I never checked the collectible stuff she had, only her weapons. I will have to go back and read that stuff.

Just finished this game. What a ride. Few games come along and take you for a ride like this. This equals the first time I beat Metal Gear Solid for the PS1. Definitely the best game I have played this generation. I love Naughty Dog and the games they have made. A truly great masterpiece!

I finished the game last night (late last night) 21 hours.

What a truly extraordinary game. The ending was awesome. No doubt I will play this again on hard. As much exploration as I did on my first run....I still have things to find.

Fantastic game and the best of this generation hands down (non sports of course).

Bought the game last week, but just started playing it last night. Got 2 hours in and wow. Fantastic so far. I'm gonna enjoy this ride

Finally finished this up today. Unbelievable. I previously had Bioshock Infinite as the front runner for goty, but that has changed now. This game connects you to its characters like no other I have ever played. Naughty Dog absolutely knocked this one out of the park. It was so exhausting and exciting, I'm not sure if I'll have the energy to play through again. 10/10.

Definitely up there with my best games of all time... Just such a good story.. the ending still has me pissed off though.
