i started a new game on Survivor but i hate that i have to collect and upgrade over again. my original play through was started on Normal but halfway through i switched it to Hard but when i beat the game they only gave me credit for normal.

so is there no way to play through on Survivor with all the stuff i upgraded and acquired?

No. Equipment and upgrades from Normal only carries over to Normal +. Hard to Hard + etc.

Here is a way that I found on another site. Not sure 100% that it works as I am trying it right now.

Note that you have to delete the patch under game data utility for it to work.

It was great on my first playthrough but it's so much better on my second. It's like watching a great movie for the second time and catching things that I missed the first time.

I have about 8+ hours into it already. Just got back home from having lunch and watching the US soccer team with some friends. I'm about to fire it up again and wouldn't be surprised if I play until midnight.

I am at this point:

This game has given me more chills and suspense than any game I can remember, and I'm not even halfway through. I've jumped out of fear due to clickers coming out of nowhere more times than I'd like to admit. ****ers.

That was the freakiest part of the game for me. Part of me wanted to continue and a big part of me did not want to face that scenario anymore.

Question about Normal+ - is it harder than Normal now that you are upgraded or is the difficulty the same? Too bad you couldn't jump from Normal to Hard and keep your levelled up character.

Bout 6 or so hours in!...Enjoying it alot!...graphics are great,story and characters keep you drawn in!

Games like this give me such hope for next gen series games!

I play with my 7.1 headset most of the time and one night I decided to quit playing at a section that was loaded with clickers. The next night, not remembering exactly where I left off, I loaded the game and put my headset on. The game finishes loading and the sound of like 8 clickers surrounding me starts coming through the headset loud and clear. Ahrg! Clicker overload! They're all around me!

I tore off the headset and quit game. I just couldn't handle it at that time and found something else to play that night.

Regarding NG+, usually in all games that offer ng+ difficulty does not change. You just get to start a new with all the upgrades and gear from the previous playthrough.

Same difficulty so it'll actually be easier since you'll start with having whatever upgrades you left off with.

That's unfortunate and *** backwards if you ask me. Why not let me take my upgraded Joel to try Hard as Hard- or Hard Light? That would make more sense. Replaying the game on an easier setting doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It would be cool if they patched that ability in.
