re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Easily my most anticipated title in a long time tbh. That is saying something since the AC3 commercial is quite possibly the best video game commercial I have ever seen and I love that series.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Impressions from the first few hours of the campaign, along with all new gameplay footage.
This will definitely be in the running for my personal GOTY if they deliver on everything promised, which it seems as though they will. Can't wait!Comment

Rock, Paper Shotgun: Forty Hours With XCOM
I’ve been playing a preview version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the past few days. I haven’t really been doing anything else, except occasionally falling to sleep in front of my computer and dreaming about XCOM. I apologise in advance for the length and possible incoherence of what follows. I’m giddy, maybe I’m rambling, but I’m as excited about a game as I have been in a long time. No coy introduction here; XCOM is marvellous and now that I’m not playing it, all I want to do is talk about it, write about it, and jump up and down hollering about it.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Sounds fantastic, a real thinking man's game. An Ode to a day gone by.
Most anticipated game of the year for me.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Welp I'm not going to customize my soldiers....must accept losses...even if he/she is leveled up and there will be plenty of losses.....<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MZGF8WJQcfQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
I'm jealous of the guys that get to play this as of now. If this game flops (and it seems SO unlikely right now) I will be so upset, because of how awesome the premise of the game is.
Kind of like Alpha Protocol to me.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Even if it's 1/2 of what the original was, it will be great.
I just hope that it isn't dumbed down for the current -Instant Gratification - Get stuck for 5 seconds and grabs the "Strategy" guide - finish game in 4 hours - then complain it was too easy- generation.Joshua:

re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Awesome!
........
"If, like me, your only experience with the X-COM series was anecdotal stories from your friends about how fun it was, and how it featured brutal consequences like permanent death, I can say that both those things are also true so far in the new XCOM: Enemy Unknown. XCOM’s turn-based strategy elements are a lot of fun, but when you screw up or the tides of war turn against you, be prepared for a level of grief few games inspire."Joshua:
