Then throw in all the map packs and extra games modes they work on, it's just even more time taken away.

On the flip side, if they simply abandoned a game after releasing it people would be in an uproar, although maybe it would make the game 2 years down the road more polished? Who knows... they are a company just like anywhere else in the world with a certain amount of resources, so we can only hope they strike the right balance.

I for one think they are at least heading in the right direction... people seem to forget how many glitches MW2 had and how long it took them to fix them. Javelin glitch, carepackage glitch, infected lobbies... that game was practically unplayable for good chunks during the first 3 months of release. I think the reason I enjoyed black ops so much was because I didn't get it until x-mas due to having a new baby in the house. I thought getting a late start would hurt me, but honestly they ironed out all the connection & spawn issues by then so I ended up with a great experience. Anyway, it will be interested... I for one am really looking forward to Black Ops 2!!!
True, and there's still plenty of problems with MW2. But that's part of my point, instead of rushing the game out every year. And milking the product with overpriced map packs they should actually TAKE TIME, and polish the game up. I'd rather have a polished game released than a rushed game with a bunch of problems and patches plus a bunch of map packs thrown in. I doubt this will ever happen though because they know how much money the game makes whether it's polished or not.

I'd have to disagree that they're heading in the right direction, IMO it's getting worse. There are so many map packs released to milk the product and they still pop these games out in too short of a time period and they all have a lot of the same problems year after year. But as i said earlier, why change anything when they know people will buy it no matter what?

As for Black Ops 2, eh. I'll have wait and see but im not expecting too much honestly. I didn't really like black ops, but i think they did kind of have the right idea with trying to fix certain things from MW2(noob tube spam via flakjacket, killstreaks not building killstreaks to reduce camping, getting rid of commando, no quickscoping, no boosting) but the game still had plenty of the same old flaws(knifing system is still bad due to horrible hit detection, hit detection in general is bad, horrible spawns, guns need better sound effects).

They need to beta test it.

It wouldn't fix everything, but a lot of problems don't arise until people get a hold of the game.

Agreed. They should release a beta when the time comes.

Yes I also agree a beta is a good idea.
          Great post.

A beta testing is very much needed, hopefully they will consider this idea.

It would be nice they had an open beta, but I doubt they will.

I don't think they will release a beta or a demo of the game.

I'd be surprised if they released a beta. The last time they did that was w@w and im not sure if it was even an open beta.

I'm sure WaW was an open beta in the end. It would be nice if they did, but I'm not holding my breath.

Im sure you remember the under the map glitches, elevator glitches and many of the other fun stuff that was patched after the games release. i think it was castle where i would just hide in front of the glitch in the wall and kill people trying to get in. whats worse is they would not even try to kill me, they would just go and try to jump back into the glitch.

It would be nice if we get some wide open levels with some vehicles. I guess it was CoD 3 when we last had a full range of vehicles?

Best news I have heard in a while! I still play Black Ops till this day, me and my friends have 10x more fun on this, than on MW3. Black Ops just feels smooth, and lag compensation isn't really a problem on there. On the other hand, every time I played MW3, I always felt I was getting cheated, whether it was with overpowered shotguns, snipers, lag compensation, or the horrible knifing system (and is it just me, or is it almost impossible to get semtex/frag kills on this game?) With Black Ops every gun felt balanced after they got the AK74u problem solved. It actually took skill to play Black Ops and get your win/loss and your K.D ratio higher, but if you play MW3 and get a Striker and slap on Extended Mags with Damage, your good to go. Also, was it just me or was the campaign on Black Ops simply amazing, it kept my interest all the way until the end, I was even surprised to see the end of the story end like that. Zombies mode, I really don't care playing for, but the story behind it has definitely got my interest, hopefully they add some more to it. Overall, I can't not wait until Black Ops 2 come out, it will be the best COD to come out.

I like how you guys have been saying there was a good 300,000 players in Blops right now. When I went online for Blops on the PC, there was only 3,000 ppl on... should have figured...
