Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Working Title)
Yeah I know that was the reason, I go on MW2 and there's usually 4,000 people online. It saddens me because of how the sway in power the market took shifted to consoles, hard to deal with.Comment

Just finished playing Black Ops on the 360 tonight, roughly around 130,000 people online in total, 30,000 of those were MP.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Wouldn't be a problem if they supported Mouse and Keyboards... but last I heard that doesn't work on consoles.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Working Title)
Black Ops was a great game, but now I only play it for Zombies.
I feel that each year multiplayer is just recycled with new perks and guns...I want to see Treyarch bring vehicles back into the COD name, and maybe a new interface for multiplayer.Kemp for NL MVP

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Working Title)
I have to agree with what most everyone has said in this thread. I really enjoy the treyarch games. I love black ops and also liked world at war too. I did not have a ps3 when COD 4 came out but I played MW2 and ended up trading it back a few months after I purchased it. I have not even bothered with MW3 because to me it looks almost identical to MW2, and I have been enjoying Battlefield 3. I can't wait to see what direction they go with Call of Duty Black Ops 2. I also want to see if they are gonna bring back zombies or something else, because I really enjoyed that mode too. After reading the comments in this thread I am glad I did not get MW3.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Working Title)
that's an understandable point of view, however I popped cod4 in at my friends place last week and played a bunch online. The bottom line is to me it IS better. I had way more fun playing that than MW2. Black ops was good, WAW was good, ... but playing a relatively old game like cod4 and STILL finding it much better was kind of eye opening. It's not nestalgia for me, it's just simply a tighter, more well balanced and enjoyable experience.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I will purchase this game if Zombies returns, but Treyarch seemed to close the Zombies storyline pretty well with "Moon".Kemp for NL MVP

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Working Title)
Well, if you have played World at War, and purchased the DLC that came with that, you know that the plot begins with Dempsey, an American soldier, Richtofen, a German scientist, Takeo, a Japanese soldier (blanking on the right term) and Nikolai, a Russian soldier. You fight through Nacht Der Untoten (which is just random American soldiers and irrelevant to the storyline), Verruckt (a German insane asylum), Shi No Numa ('Swamp of the Undead'), and Der Riese (The Nazi laboratory 'The Giant').
Richtofen worked with a scientist named 'Dr. Maxi' who had a daughter named Sam(antha). Dr. Maxi wanted to create 'the Nazi supersoldier', but instead turned these soldiers into zombies, using the element 115 ( a re-occuring number you may have seen throughout the levels). These experiments took place at Der Riese. Richtofen fooled Dr. Maxi and Sam, along with her dog, by trapping them inside a chamber with many of these zombies. The dog had puppies, which lead to hellhounds, being created. Sam was turned into a spirit, haunting the four players with evil laughing (i.e. getting a teddy bear in the mystery box) and then ultimately being freed by the four and getting vengence on Richtofen on 'Moon', in Black Ops. (Youtube Zombies Moon Easter Egg Full)
The levels each have their own easter egg; I could write a page for each. But, the storyline ends in 'Moon' when
Spoilerthe four players Nikolai, Dempsey, Takeo, and Sam (who took control of Richtofen) unknowingly activate rockets set by the soul of Dr. Maxi that launch to Earth, infecting the world with the 115 virus and leaving it in a dark state.Kemp for NL MVP

COD4 had a few things that were unbalanced, but nothing crazy.
With MW2 it was Commando perk along with one man army. That really made the game unbalanced.
With MW3 its the proficiencies, unbalanced weapons. Akimbo, and the list goes on and on.
Treyarch likes things to make more sense. Black ops was much more balanced than MW3. It's not even close.
I'm very confident with BO's 2 things will be very well done, and thought out.
I saw where the lead guy from Treyarch is trying to find a medium between quick scoping and hard scoping. He is reaching out to fans to see what they can come up with.
I feel there is no medium to this question. The second you can't quick scope it's pretty much considered hard scope.
I don't like the whole quick scoping scenario, but I can see how people enjoy doing it, and since it has existed for a while in the series you just can't get rid of it.
The one thing I suggest is to have a lobby where it can be done, and another lobby where it can't be done.
Or maybe something you have to level up to, but still not as easy as it is on MW3. Still some type of skill involved to pull it off, and that it actually hits it's mark.Last edited by Tyrant8RDFL; 02-20-2012, 02:03 PM.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)
