no, there are lightning strikes and hellstorms, which are basically air strikes, but i geuss its tougher to get a scorestreak going, because you dont constantly have a chopper shooting at you, despite the future setting, the game goes back to the basics.in previous CODs the killstreaks would play as big a role as your gun, now its just a nice little reward that might help you get the objective for a little while, or get you a few kills.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Same here. Im not playing the game right now so I'm limited with what I can do, but once the online is better Ill get back on and open up some more layers to create something cool.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I don't have any issues with them, anyways. My set up is immune to most everything + I'm always hacking enemy equipmentIt was easy to rack up streaks in MW2. I was almost guarenteed at least a Pavelow every round, which usually led to more. I like scorestreaks much more.
I'm enjoying the game much more than I was several days ago. I was ready to hang it up, but I pushed through and it's actually become fun for me.Comment

I jumped in with BD, and ND from Battlefield a few days ago and those dudes go like 10 + rounds every time. It got repetitive for me and I had to quit.Comment

The lag and disconnects are atrocious now. Whatever these idiots did ruined everything for me. Game was smooth all week. Now it's the holiday weekend and it's unplayable. I'll check back to see if it's better here and there but I'm done for now. Horrible, horrible, horrible.PSN: JISTIC_OS

I'm having the exact opposite experience. I absolutely love my PS3, but this game runs so much better on the 360. I couldn't believe how much nicer it looked and the online is issue free so far.Comment

Call of duty just knows how to make multiplayer so addicting with all of these unlockables. Just got mastery with the DSR and the gold camo and now I learn that you can get diamond??? Must get. Also the calling cards look awesome in this game.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
I may be calling it quits again until after the Holidays.
I've tried playing three rounds today and all have been a lag/glitch fest.
I also wish I had the party feature on my PS3, like I do my 360. It would save me the trouble of muting a bunch of racist 12 year old bitches.
edit: I joined a hardpoint server and the lag went away.. hmm.Last edited by AUChase; 11-22-2012, 11:28 AM.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Same here. My k/d got crushed last night. They have to fix this because I had no lag before the server patch. At one point it showed an option to turn recording on or off in the left menu in a party. That disappears and then we go into games and can't pull up our weapon setups in game. Ugh.Comment

I like them, but not on this game. I just don't like it on this one. On Black Ops 1 I love it. If I want to play Zombies I will put that in, or World At War, I like those Zombies too.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Well after a week of playing, I can honestly say these maps are horrible in my opinion. At first I liked mostly all of them since they are all aesthetically pleasing. But now that I have a good amount of playtime on all of them, I have to say I hate them.
Yemen and Carrier are the only two maps that I like on the entire game. Any time any other map comes up I just think "ughhh, I really don't wanna play here."
They are just all so cramped and crowded. There are hardly any choke points on this game since there are like 5 different routes you can run to get to any location on the map.
I'm what most people would call a "camper" I like to find a high traffic area and post up at it behind cover, and pick people off as they try to rush me. I like the strategic part of the game, outsmarting the guys that think they can sprint the whole game. Because of this I like maps with just a few main routes to run, so the other team funnels in to me. Some of my favorite maps ever are Crossfire(only 2 routes, right and left, or the middle but thats essentially no mans land) Afghan(3 main routes, the bunkers, the cliff, and the cave) Wasteland(right, left, middle trench) Estate(middle road, greenhouse, boat shed) Summit(building, left side of building, right side side of building), Seelow(middle underneath the train, left train, right train) etc. the list goes on, and includes mostly cod4 and mw2 maps.
However on this game there are like 5+ routes on every single map to get from one spawn to the other. No real choke points that I can post up at and go to town. The closest thing to a chokepoint on this game is on the map Slums the building by the B flag. That is really the only spot on any map I can think of that I have been able to post up and let them keep funneling in to me.
I really hope they come out with a map pack soon, and make maps actually fun to play on. Hopefully they bring back an old map or two, Wouldn't mind playing some firing range, summit, seelow, castle, etc. again.
TLDR; The maps suck with the exception of like 2 of them, make the maps more like cod4/mw2 maps were designed.Comment

There will be guys who like to sit in a room and claymore or bouncing betty the door and hide in the corner or just shoot out the window. Then they want to brag how nobody can kill them or their k/d is so high. Again to me that takes a lot less skill to do. Most of the time when you get these kind of guys on a map where they can't do this they get destroyed and either just get quiet or whine about their guns not working right.
It really gets boring when you play against a team full of guys that do this and they all pile up in two or three rooms and takes all the fun and randomness of the maps out of the game.Comment
