I agree with something is different this week. Since Sunday I have been in room after room with bad connections, even I have had bad connections in a couple. Which happens, usually I just leave and find another room, but this week it's every room with bad connections. Yesterday I didn't even pick it up, I just didn't want to deal with it.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Is there an attachment that turns the knife into something similar to commando from MW2? I ran into three guys tonight from the same clan just running around and knifing. A couple times, I'd get off a shot from about 10 feet away with the 870 only for them to teleport through it and knife me. It was getting ridiculous. I had to back out of the lobby.i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.Comment

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Not only that but Black Ops 1 took skill. I was a 4+ kd, 13 was a 4+ kd, my friend not on OS was a 3+ kd, none of us are over a two on Black ops 2, yet my friend who has never been over a 1 kd is at a 1.98 in black ops 2. It's possible that some people who never were a dominant player can see this. Incredible was an unreal player with us as well and last time I saw he was right with us around a 1.5. Connection is what matters in this game.

Like he said, we were both over 4+ KD easy. And this was not camping. This was running around, going after objectives, using strategy and being smart with how we moved across the map.
MW3 started the downfall. Lag comp in that game was unbearable at times. Even after the patches, it really didn't improve much. I'd have games where I would go 55-4 and be absolutely unstoppable, then the next game in the same lobby, would struggle to go positive. It just didn't make any sense to me, especially after the continued success I had in COD4 and MW2. Both over 3 KD. I think I ended with a 1.8KD in MW3. Still not bad, but a big letdown from the previous games.
Only positive for me to come from MW3 was KC. At one point, I was in the Top 100 on the leaderboards in that mode. That is all I played.
Obviously it's not all about KD, but to put it in perspective, that's the best tool.
Black Ops II is the same way, but now maps also help the kids that love to run around with SMGs and hip fire. Perfect example last night.
I've never been a shotgunner. Never used it in MW3 except at the end of the game's life. Loaded up a class last night, and ran around spraying from the hip. Went 44-10 the very first game. Are you kidding me? Probably the easiest 44 kills I've ever gotten in a game. Didn't have to aim. Just sprinted around and hip fired all game. Maybe there are other factors, like my knowledge of the maps and spawns that went into my success, but the kills came way too easy. Could have been lag comp as well, who knows, but either way, it's way too simple. Put Long Barrel and Laser Sight on a shotgun and anyone within 20 feet has no chance. Doesn't take skill, whatsoever.
I can see where Authentic is coming from as far as not requiring much skills in COD games at this point.
In Black ops 2 I would have to agree. The aim assist is very friendly the maps are just run and gun, and the lag comp determines the winner of the game and not the players, and for these reasons I would have to agree with his statement.
Now if this game had better maps and players played in a Lan setup where every one is on a even keel. Then I can respect and recognized who has the skills and who does not.
The way the game has been setup now it takes very little skills to be great at COD BO2. All you need is to be on the right side of lag comp.
I said this also when MW3 came out. Its funny how guys are seeing this now
Just take notice of the score of games. One team totally dominates the other. LAG COMP!
We would play online and I would do ****ty for a few rounds and they would think they were good. Then when we played LAN at one another's house, it would be no contest. In FFA they might kill me combined 5 times in a game to 30.
It is. Generous aim assist and attachments that make hip firing more accurate than aiming definitely takes less skill than BF3.
I remember the first time I played BF3 online after coming from COD. I got absolutely destroyed. I couldn't aim, I was barely hitting anyone and couldn't snipe to save my life. Definitely took a while to get used to the gunplay. Definitely a much bigger adjustment period in BF than there is in picking up a COD game and being successful.Last edited by JODYE; 12-05-2012, 11:05 AM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
Agreed! I picked up some bad habits playing BLOPS 2 then switching back to BF3 when aftermath dropped. In Black OPS I could just aim without accounting for distance and really don't have to worry about recoil. All the guns seem the same and lack personality. When I jumped back into BF3 and started using my m249 I was shooting all over the place because of the recoil when I was expecting the light recoil in BLOPS.
I just really feel one of those little sneaky updates they do every few days changed something. The game is playing wonky this week.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
That's not true. Yes some games it happens, always have, always will. I would say that 75% of my games have been close, like within 20 or 25 points of each other. I have had several 1 or 2 point games and a couple of draws. Unless you call 20 or 25 point lead dominate.
We are realistic with how things unfold in the game. We don't choose to stroke ourselves when we know how the servers are situated.
Anyone who wants to feel good about how they play is fine. I just call it like it is. Lag comp decides who will win or lose.
Some gamers get the right side of lag comp a very large percentage of the time, while others get on the wrong side a large amount of times.
Do like the brother mentioned before and play in a Lan setup you will see a whole new side of the game as it unfolds the way it should.
By the way what mode where you describing? TDM if so yea winning by 25 or more kills is a lot.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

This. Me, Authentic and Live used to absolutely ROLL in BO. Literally no contest. I remember us routinely beating teams 3 on 5 with no problem. It took strategy and gun skills actually counted for something. Yes that game included some lag comp, but not the severity that was implemented in MW3.

In BOPS2 you can't. The maps are only designed to play one way which is run and gun. To me this kills the whole strategic way of playing the game. It's awesome when you can defend a area or try to take someone down who is doing a great job defending his area. To me that was exciting and at times you can learn from some one.
This great aspect is gone in BOPS2.
SnD is garbage in BOPS2 and in no way can compete with how much more fun it was to play in the other COD games.
My COD fix moving forward is COD4, MW2, BLOPS 1 , and MW3.Last edited by Tyrant8RDFL; 12-05-2012, 12:22 PM.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

People really pushing to get lag comp improved. This video is pretty telling. I don't feel as bad now.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
God, did they take that video directly from my PS3? Lmao.
Always love the ones where the guys not even looking at you and you just fall over dead. Or you're 8 steps past a wall and still getting hit around it.
As already stated, it makes you feel like the guy on the other end has super human reaction times.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
You want some strategical/tactical play in a military shooter, try playing some games like Rainbow 6 (Raven Shield and earlier only), Ghost Recon 1, Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis/Arma 2, SWAT 3/4. Even the Red Orchestra & the Brothers in Arms games require alot more thought than these modern AAA FPS games.Comment

I just don't see them ever compeletely fixing lag compensation, without dedicated servers. They could really make the game play much better by slowing some aspects of it down. Some of the complaints and problems with the game are magnified by how fast players are moving around.

Yeah, I remember talking to other people about it and they thought I was crazy. I don't even think they new what lag compensation was.

I absolutely love bf3 but i stopped playing because i got bored/it was too easy. COD is harder imo. Im more satufied when i play good in it then bf3. Thats just my personal opinion. Me i just try to outsmart people when i play. I play tag with them, hide an seek. I make this game fun for myself.
I cant play with people who take it too serious because then its not fun for me. Also im a horrible teammate. In bf3 an COD i just go around doing my own thing. It works tho because im always planting stuff an blowing **** up.
I remember playing with Authentic an his boys. They are damn good. Too serious sometimes but really really good. They only time i want to be serious is if im doing a gamebattle an i havent dont that in years.
Im sure connection is some of it but i dont ever blame it for my bad rounds.
