Fantastic campaign, finally of decent length, AND it warrants multiple playthroughs. Plus, this is, IMO, the best online CoD ever.

Treyarch takes the crown for this series. Hell of a game.

Really hating this game now. I'm seriously considering the trade-in route for Battlefield 3. The match-making is too inconsistent from day-to-day. One day everything is fine, the next it's off the wall terrible.

Really hating this game now. I'm seriously considering the trade-in route for Battlefield 3. The match-making is too inconsistent from day-to-day. One day everything is fine, the next it's off the wall terrible.

It is funny to me. I've never seen a game where half the community thinks it's GOTY and the other half think's it is borderline worst game ever.

I know CoD tends to polarize people and I'm not saying turtles has the opinion that the game is the worst ever, I'm just saying I would hate to have to try and buy this game based on what other people's opinions are because they range from GOTY to worst CoD Ever.

I personally like the game, but I think I'm about over the "modern" shooter game that everyone else seems to love.

On certain maps I pop smoke every time I span or replenish with scavenger. I had a teammate screaming at me last night because he kept dying because of the smoke. I was laughing so hard!

I'd never heard anybody say anything about it before but I always wondered in the back of my head whether or not it annoyed my teammates.

Too bad the game didn't get goty because it wasn't even nominated. I also didn't see he said top 5 for him. I agree with everything he said except the multiplayer part. Multiplayer is awful and treyarch is hearing it from more than just certain people on this site. When cod doesn't even get a nomination is when fanboys have to onen their eyes.

I wish they'd get the lag comp sorted for everyone. It hasn't been much of an issue for me lately, and with that out of the way, the multiplayer has been a blast.

I truly think they have the groundwork in the game for the best and most balanced multiplayer yet, but lag issues are hampering almost everyone's enjoyment. I guess I've been lucky lately.

Just because someone has this game as their GoTY doesn't mean they are a fanboy. The campaign is phenomenal, the zombies are fun, and the multiplayer is fun as well (it does have issues, but every multiplayer game does).

I'm sorry that other users have had trouble, especially on 360, but that isn't really my problem, and certainly not something that affects my on enjoyment of the game. This is the most fun I've ever had with a CoD game online, and IMO, that, combined with the plethora of modes I have to choose from, makes this the best multiplayer experience I've gotten from this brand.

And yes, I was referring to this being a top 5 GOTY for ME.

However, I think it's funny how worked up people get over this game.

Okay, bud. I was just saying your original post just said it pretty generally. I wasn't saying anything else past that.

This game was pretty fun, the lag was the only thing that took any fun away for me. It's definitely a great game, though.

Black Ops II is busy collecting dust on my shelves.

Not trying to bash, and I'm glad others are enjoying this game but this wasn't even close to being the best COD in the series. I know were always quick to throw that label on something new, but it would be wrong to do so in this case.

Maps were very one dimensional, and aside from Turbine, leaned totally in favor of close quarters combat. No balance.

Also, attachments might have been as overpowered as ever. Mainly the Laser Sight/Long Barrel combo on any sub machine gun/shotgun.

Also, no Sleight of Hand? WTF

And lastly, for those that did experience it, Lag Compensation might have been the worst it's ever been. Made the game virtually unplayable. And I thought that MW3 was bad.

Like I said, glad others are enjoying it, but this thing hasn't seen the light of day for over 2 weeks now, and that's fine with me.

I'm still having a blast with zombies. I agree that the multiplayer is crappy. I haven't finished the SP yet, I'm going to wait for a day where I can just knock out the rest of it in one shot
