That pretty much sums it up. I always felt like there was less BS while playing MW3.

Only thing keeping me from MW3 is the stupid *** gun perks. No reason you should be able to put "Range" on a SMG and snipe people with it. That and the full auto shotguns.

Overall the last 2 call of duty dropped the ball with their maps. The flat out suck, MW3 was like the same close quarters cluster map in almost every one granted I only played the first map pack.

EDIT: Just looked at my KD in MW3 and it's a 1.49. Lmao. Funny thing is MK-46 is my gun in MW3 while the MK-48 is my gun in Blops 2.

Pretty sure I'm going to trade in BOII and pick up MW3 again.

This game is unbearable. If anything going wired has punished me even more. How friggin hard is it to have dedicated servers with no lag comp????!!!!!! Jesus christ.

It's ridiculous that a franchise as big as COD refuses to use dedicated servers.

This game is just an unbalanced mess.

They bascially want everyone to be a supersoldier. COD 4 & World At War had it right 3, 5, 7 for killstreaks as all the streaks now has made it a convoluted mess. Plus the lag and lag compensation basically determines who wins and who lose's not the player so you can never tell who's good or bad at the game. One minute your doing great then next game you can't do anything. The pace of the game is way to fast it's like everyone is the flash running around skirting around corners. There is no thought put into these games anymore they just think of whatever silly stuff they can and toss it in. Less is more.

Just put this game in for the first time in about a month and experienced no lag whatsoever. I had a KD of over 2 in both games.

lag comp was pretty terrible in mw3 also..... what has changed since you made this post i just linked?

personally black ops 2 feels the same to me in regards to lag comp as mw3. I think it feels amplified due to the fact auto aim is overly strong and every gun seems to kill quickly.

maybe one day they will use hosted servers but i doubt it since that would cut into there profit margins.

Maybe BOII was seriously that bad?

Maybe I'm being conditioned, like all of us that play this game, to become more accepting of the short-comings of this series.

At the time of MW3 release, there was a drastic difference between it and the original BO. Lag was most definitely apparent, as I stated ever so often, including the post you referenced there and I thought that it couldn't get any worse.

However, going back to MW3 after playing BOII, it's night and day.

So maybe it's more of an indictment of how bad this game is becoming online, rather than MW3 actually being "better" and maybe that has affected the experience I had.

Again the sample size I had last night was obviously a lot smaller than what I had logged in BOII, but I could feel a difference, no question.

I can't fully explain why that is, or what has changed. Like I said, maybe it's because in BOII I'm used to being so far behind in terms of connection, that MW3 seems like an improvement. I'm not trying to say that MW3 is great by any means. I'm sure if I went back and played the original BO, then played MW3 I'd notice the same issues as I originally did when MW3 ran it's course. But in comparison to the problems I was having with BOII, I'd rather play MW3 at this point.

with each new cod game that comes out i feel that there is new crap that makes me dislike the game. i played some blops 1 with incredible and some friends and we had crap connections with the host and it felt terrible. also reading the spawns in that game was way too easy. (imo)

blops 2 and mw3 the lag comp is def annoying but the spawns in blops 2 makes it feel even worse since its so hard to tell where the enemies are going to be. add in the super auto aim and everyone seems to have pinpoint accuarcy. i seem to play these games less and less with each new release.

i feel playing solo gives you a better chance at a solid connection and the more spread out your room is the worse the lag comp will be. i play with friends from boston and we have good connections most of the time. once we add one or two friends from cali all of a sudden i have to put 3/4 of a clip into someone only to have them turn around and kill me with one shot.

my stats were better in mw3 (4.60 kd) than they are in blops 2 (3.05) but i just take the game for what it is now. i pop it in when i see 3 or more friends on and try to have fun with them. sadly my competitive side just makes me rage. i def preffered the mw3 maps though over blops 2.

When was this patch? Where are the specs for it? I hadn't played this game for nearly 7-8 months.

When this game released, lag comp was definitely not a myth. It was very well documented.

And it was patched.

It exists because it is the basic framework that Activision has decided to go with for matchmaking because dedicated servers are not feasible, but it is nowhere near to the degree that some say and not anywhere near what the lag compensation is in BO2.

MW3 is crazy underrated and if they removed deathstreaks, it would be at the top of balancing on the COD chain.
