The point I'm trying to make is that 7-8 months ago, when I was actively playing this game, there has been a visible change, yes or no?

I wasn't trying to imply that you were giving false information, but your choice of words were inconclusive.

I don't think any game is in the realm of BOII in regards to how bad the lag comp is. That's reaching an unprecedented realm, but when MW3 first dropped, it wasn't very good either.

If it was indeed patched, I was looking for the details of it.

When was this patch? Where are the specs for it? I hadn't played this game for nearly 7-8 months.

When this game released, lag comp was definitely not a myth. It was very well documented.

Lag comp in MW3 was just as bad as Black Ops II on release. They made an effort to patch it but it did very little. I will admit that the patch helped keep a solid connection more often but still hurt people with good connections.

I think I'm done with this game. The lag compensation is beyond ridiculous. I have quit the last two time playing it within 10 minutes. I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not the best at FPS. I'm not as good as most of you all on here.

However, I know lag comp when I see it. I'm not a camper, but I tried something the last couple of times I played. I would sit crouched behind something and have my sites up in a doorway. I would see a guy run into the door. I mean the split second he came around a corner through the door, I didn't even have time to pull the trigger. I was already dead and his gun never left his hip.

It's so frustrating.

Hey, first real post on these forums. I figured ya'll would be the perfect audience for the tutorials i have made on Youtube. I am a baseball nut as well as a Black Ops 2 junkie, and i like making emblems in the game, so i made a challenge to myself to make al 30 MLB logos and make tutorials for each. I got through with all 30 teams and I've even done a few Alternates and a couple of throwbacks as well. Check out my youtube channel and you will find your favorite MLB team there. OK,so I was debating on picking up MW3 until I looked in the PSN store...there's like $60 worth of DLC maps for his game....there's no way in hell I'm going to spend that kind of dough for that game....that would be $80 total

My question is this...is there only 1 map pack that's worth it? or should I say more populated than others?....if I do decide to pull the trigger,I don't want to be left out in the cold because I didn't spend $80.

After playing MW3 it is a nice change of pace. It will still frustrate you though. I don't mind switching it up though.

In what way?...After dealing with the shotgun,pistol and ballistic knife garbage from this game,how much worse can it actually get?

It's nowhere near as bad as BLOPS2 IMO. You still get the occasional WTF moment, but that's with every COD. Shotguns and pistols feel balanced. You can't just run around like a maniac a dominate with either weapon. And there's no ballistic knife to worry about.

It seems like every Call of Duty that comes out, the more features they try to pack in. Is it our fault as gamers for asking for too much? It seems like most people have forgotten what made Call of Duty great 4-5 years ago. What was so bad about 3 killstreaks and balanced guns/gameplay? I personally loved Call of Duty 4, and then it just started to go downhill, with bright spots in MW2 and Black Ops 1. It's such an obvious coding and gameplay change from Black Ops 1 to MW3/Black Ops 2. I just wish they'd get their priorities straight and give us another great game.

just curious, but did ya'll play Blops 1 or the latest MW3? I would have to say panic knifing is the best i have seen since i started playing (in Blops 1). And by best i mean you cannot really panic knife from 6 feet out anymore. I have tried to knife guys in Blops2 and missed. Which i consider a plus, because knives have always been overpowered and shouldn't be.

As for tactical knife i cant really ever recall getting killed by one. I'm sure i have just doesnt even register to me as a thing so im guessing its not a prob. I also play Domination and run with flak jacket, not sure if that helps, but still, i dont see it as a prob.

And as for the game, this is my favorite of the 3 i mentioned.
only drawback would be that i am a little sick of the maps, but mappacks should fix that soon. still waiting here on Ps3 for maps - we are always last

If you're talking about the ballistic knife in BLOPS2,yes it is there in full force. I've lost count how many times I've been killed this way,even though I was pumping lead into the dude...only to see him "warp" 5ft to ma and get the kill.

It's like once the animation starts,there's no stopping it until it kills you,no matter if you're shooting the dude or not...it's beyond ridiculous.

I'm OK with the occasional wtf,as I have those in BF3 as well...so that doesn't bother me...it's the crap I mentioned earlier that's making it harder and harder for me to enjoy this game.

It's nice to hear though that the issues I have with BLOPS2 aren't present in MW3. I'll probably end up picking it up...although I'll have to pick and choose which map pack (if any) I buy.

I may just hold off until I decide whether or not it's worth it to me to buy 1...I sure as hell ain't buying all of them...lol

Oh yea....and don't get me started on the stupid "rts" elements in BLOPS 2 campaign....about the dumbest thing I can remember being put into a game.
