I got to agree with EG. Definitely a big step back from the last MOH game. I will pass. Maybe get it late on for the singleplayer.

The gameplay was decent but the menus, pop ups, and text were terrible.Comment

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
I'm on the fence. Demo map is really cool. Tight confines, but plenty of spots to hide and skitter around the edges. Like the weapon and the aiming mechanism. All of the controls are smooth, too.
But there's still quite a bit of running, gunning and Halo hops going on. Gameplay still is pretty frantic, with little teamwork evident.
Cool demo, but I'm starting to wonder if there ever will be another military shooter released that rewards patient teamwork and stealth, like the old Ghost Recon games or Operation Flashpoint: Red River.
I'm just not sure if I want to drop $60 on a game that's going to piss me off quickly because a bunch of trigger-happy, Mountain Dew-fueled punks have quicker reflexes than me. I don't want to have rely on finding a server that's filled with strategic players because that's more rare than hearing honesty in a presidential debate.
At first, the chaos of this demo was exciting. Tons of noise, sound and activity. It was like walking into the slot machine area of a casino. You're titillated by the lights and sounds, and you pop $5 worth of quarters into a machine. And then you wake up and realize: "F*ck, these machines are the biggest thieves in the house, by odds. Why am I doing this?"
I'm hoping the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed III provides the stealth and strategy I seek. MOH: Warfighter isn't that kind of game, sadly.
Maybe there will be some larger maps in the retail game of MOH that breed more tactics. The maps are a conundrum. Lots of cool places to hide and use stealth, but no one bothered with those strategies last night in the demo matches I played. It was UNLV basketball, circa 1991 -- run and gun.Last edited by pk500; 10-06-2012, 10:58 AM.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
I thought it was pretty awful. I can understand the COD v BF debate because they truly are different games, but the whole purpose of MOH is to directly compete with and mimic COD.
1. Graphics are far worse
2. Menus are far worse
3. Controls aren't as tight
Cancelled my preoder and will just concentrate of ACIII.Comment

Playing late last night and a bit this morning it is evident the CoD kids have found the demo, not being able to spawn cause your teammate is running around like a chicken with its head cut off is a bit frustrating. I find playing slow and tactical works better in this game then it would in CoD. This game is somewhere between BF & CoD. The menus are a bit annoying and the graphics are not that great but I've heard people saying it will get a HD graphics pack like BF3 did. If nothing else this game will hold me over till BO2 comes out and as an alternative when none of my friends are playing BO2 or I'm just burnt out on it.

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
Playing more the graphics definitely aren't BF3. I played some guys last night that apparently are in the know and the graphics are not final. I seem to remember BF3 demo/beta not being that impressive to me, but the final game is really good on PC and 360.
I'm really enjoying this game tho. It entertains me the way I wish Ghost Recon had, but it didn't. This game along with BF3, and BO2 will hold me over for a good while.Comment

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
Played it for a while and like EG said, flat out BAD!!
Controls are strange and not tight
Graphics are pass able but nothing special
Gameplay is where it is horrible for me. It seems last gen to me, the strange plop noise when getting shot, the weird left for dead red outlines, the weakest sounding guns ever hell the plop sound from getting shot sounds louder lol, and very arcady across the board
This will never touch my consoleComment

Looks bad, sounds bad, feels bad.
It is a clear several steps behind BF or COD. I guess if the shooter market wasn't flooded this might be a time passer but I really don't see how this one is going to be worth much of anyone's time.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Jeez. Tough crowd here.
I don't find it that bad. Graphics are nearly same as CoD and will be better after Beta. I remember the BF3 beta/demo had some of these same complaints. Graphics aside, the guns are realistic, aside from taking too many rounds to drop someone. That will be fixed I'm sure given the complaints I've seen. The red outline is visible to you and you only when your buddy is killed. So you can spot them. I like the killcam and the pace of the game as well.Comment

*shrug* I had some fun with the game when I had a fire team partner I could talk to. Maybe I'm easy to please.Comment

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
Just finished playing a few games online, I don't understand where the hate is coming from to be quite honest.
Yes the controls feel a bit sluggish, but it isn't game breaking. Gameplay is pretty fun, graphics don't seem bad at all to be honest. I'm sure in the full game there will be many more gametypes, maps, and customization.
This is the first FPS I've played in months, so maybe that's why I'm liking it. I will wait for reviews to drop for the game before I make my decision, but based on what I've played, I'm leaning towards buying it. Really fun FPS.
PS: As a person who loves music as much as I do, the menu music is awesome lmao.Last edited by SinisterAlex; 10-08-2012, 02:11 AM.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Coming October 2012
I have played just about every shooter from original Doom, wolf 3d, ghost recon(entire series), rainbow six(entire series), Red Orchestra(both), Day of defeat, halo(entire series), battlefield (entire series), and many other smaller budget shooters.
My personal view of it is just mediocre. In a genre' that is so over populated you have to come with something above just mediocre in my opinion. The way I assess will I get the game is based on only a couple things 1) Does the gameplay feel right 2) Does the controls feel tight and enjoyable 3) Last, will the online environment survive for a long time.
Sadly the game just does not do any of those well. I don't believe the online community will have thousands and thousands still playing this online after 8 months or so. I can stick with BF3 which does just about everything better. Guns feel better, controls are great, graphics are stellar, sound effects are unreal, vehicles, big maps, destructible environments, more weapons, more maps, and a online community that is huge & not going anywhere.
So I'm not "hating" on the game or "bashing" it. I am just assessing it from what I tried and what I saw. No dislike or like, just objective point of view.Last edited by Phobia; 10-08-2012, 12:03 PM.Comment

Personally I hate New age COD. The first Modern war was good but since then the series has gone down.
