Re: Assassin's Creed III
I still enjoy the first one. The gameplay is relatively clunky now, but I loved assassinating some Templars. I also thought the story and historical fiction aspects of it were fun and interesting.

I hated the parts outside in the "real world". It just felt so clunky like you said and broke up the action to the point I gave up caring.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
What I meant was of not being able to play until I've finished the other two. So far It's not too bad. Having a helluva time with some attacks. There are times I'm hitting the button and I just stand there, or try to block and I still get hit.Make #FranchiseNation great again!
This thing called Twitter I do sometimes
What's your thoughts? It's a game.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I don't think I've ever been on the fence as much as I have with this game.
I did enjoy the first 2,but it seems like impressions for 3 are all over the place...it's really hard to get a gauge on this game.
I know I have the option to "red box it" (if it's available),but I'm not sure if that would give me ample time to come to any concrete conclusion,as I really like to take my time with a game.....decisions,decisions.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Big ups to the writing staff. The first big twist was one I should've seen coming, was right in my face the whole time...but my reaction AGAIN was reflected by in game dialogue.
SpoilerI'm referring to the fact that those missions with Connor's father and how he was really a Templar all along. I should've known. When I first saw him my first reaction was "Why isn't he wearing a hood?" But I wrote it off because there's a symbol on his right arm brazier that looks like the Assassin's symbol so I believed he was on the level. Then you start doing missions and it occurs to me that I've never seen so many men of means as allies for an assassin before. They're always outcasts or have somewhat decadent, but not morally reprehensible lifestyles.
Then bam. "Welcome to the Templars" And the "How do you like them apples?" Trophy? You sly dogs, Ubisoft.
Well played.Comment

I can't like this post more, lock picking is absolutely horrible.

(Spoilers are safe to read if you are Connor)
SpoilerFirst you assassinate someone, I know he's a former assassin but he's now a templar and they wouldn't operate that way because they don't have to.
Then in Boston everybody acts like an assassin, doing good, rescuing prisoners, punishing the bullies, striking from shadows, taking out powerful figures, etc.
Then the reveal.
Next thing you know, the same mild mannered guys are choking out and threatening a kid. What? It just all feels completely unnatural.Comment

Just run lateral to the line, musket accuracy is pretty realistic so if you stand there you'll get hit hard, run lateral and you may not even get hit.
Personally I though it was horrible writing.

So when a game can get me like that I encourage it. Because it comes from a place I want gaming to reach one day. I want a game to make me almost cry the same way I might almost do in movie.Comment
