to "stop" Piracy. all it does is hurt the people who actually buys the game though.

It's only a matter of time until the pirates figure out a way to circumvent the system though and just make it a headache for all legal buyers.

from what I read, Diablo 3 was already pirated(running off pirated servers), though supposedly buggy. I didn't care enough to look into it further though.

was able to play it for a few minutes before the server went out again. the beta is really restrictive(basically like a simple demo), so not really sure what to say about it honestly. the city sizes were very, very small. hopefully that is just because that is all they allow for the beta. graphic weren't that great, though that is not really a selling point for me, I still play Simcity 4 from time to time.

I just put 2 hours into a city then it crashed, pretty bummed

Playing the beta made me go from probably buy to probably not. I don't know how much was because they gimped the beta and how much is because that's just how the game is, but it definitely makes me very wary.

What the hell is the point of gimping it anyway? If somebody is going to play the beta for one weekend and be done, you have serious problems with your Sim City 5.

Think I'm goin wait on this game for a month or 2. Was a huge fan of the original up to SC3K. Had really high hopes for this game till I read about the always online requirement.
Put any other game multiplayer, not SimCity.

I'll probably end up doing the same. the exclusion of any offline play is a real turn off. what happens in a few years when they turn off the servers? you'll be no longer able to play the game. considering I still own Simcity 2000, 3000, and Simcity 4(and will occasionally play them), that is a pretty big deal for me.

Buickbeast that's what I should've done but I bought it off GMG for cheap so I don't feel too bad though now I wish I used that voucher on Crysis 3 instead...

I've had it crash my pc twice. Both times had to do a hard reset. Had fun while I was playing though. On the fence about a day one purchase.

The city size is way too small. Feels more like sim neighborhood.

Man, I wish I still had my SC3K disc. Disappeared awhile ago. The soundtrack to that game was phenomenal.

Sucks you guys have been crashing, I've got 9 hours with no issues.
Again I really don't see why the made the area so small, the more I play the more it bugs me.
It just turns into a delete one thing to make another thing and so on.

Yeah and you can't even terraform the land to your liking....I LOVED creating lakes and a bit of waterfalls near my cities!

Yea it was. You can find a lot of the songs on youtube. South Bridge was my favorite.
