There is a Review in progress on IGN, the main drawback is the city sizes per the writer. It sounds like a rave review though.

I have been waiting a decade for this, I only wish I had more time to play this!!

I'm really happy about the potential for larger city sizes. My gf works tomorrow, so after work I probably won't leave the chair when I get home.

In the ign article it said that his PC did not have a problem with 100,000 people and it's a pretty old PC. I'm sure it will be a good title at launch but the SimCity community will make it even better(if Maxis gives us the tools).

Well, I'm pumped. The game looks beautiful and it sounds like the tiny city plot issue will be mitigated down the line (even if possibly only in an expansion pack). I was stuck playing SC4 on the small plots for years due to a weak PC so I guess I can live with small plots here. It's only disappointing because, for once, I actually have a rig that won't be brought to its knees by demanding games. If the gameplay is otherwise very good, whatever, it's a new Sim City!

Simcity 4 was one of the biggest system hogs that has ever been made, at the time it would have made even the most advanced PC cry. The PC I have now was custom built for this game, can't wait to really test her out! My first order of business is to make as big of a city as I can so I can see how well my PC holds up.

I feel the exact same way. I built my system having this game as one of the many I wanted to put to the test

Just pre-ordered it on Amazon! There are 6 reviews up on Metacritic and so far it has an average of 90%

I was personally super excited for this game but after watching the Giant Bomb livestream this afternoon and reading the Arstechnica impressions I'm in wait and see mode and might wait until the first big patch to get it. The size limitations seem pretty ridiculous and so far there seem to be a bunch of little things that would bother me. To me the metacritic reviews are irrelevant, just sites looking for hits since this game is always online and the public servers aren't up yet. Plus I'm a pessimistic jerk and I assume the servers will be a mess and people will be disconnecting for no reason all the time for the first couple days. Hopefully I'm wrong but the gameplay stuff alone makes me want to wait a few weeks for a couple patches as well as making sure the always online system doesn't mess with anything once it goes live tonight.
