    Re: Dead Space 3

Really intrigued by the Awakened dlc. I had the chance to DL it yesterday but past it up. I think I will go back and play DS2 all over again before I give Awakened a go just to make some more concrete tie ins with 3, then I will play 3 over in game + with the Awakened ending. Will miss weapon construction. I am happy DS3 had a more action oriented bent. The more traditional experience is still available for those that want that but I enjoyed the tweak toward more action.

This series is one of the best IPs this generation. Well up there with other series like Mass Effect and Bioshock.

Good thing you didn't play the DLC. It's far better than the entire DS3, and makes you wonder why they didn't make the entire game that quality, or, more importantly, why they took the true ending from the game and made it into a completely unnecessary DLC.

I have heard the dlc is good. As it is I loved DS3. Thought it was a great experience as it was.

It sounds like you were quite disapointed with the game.

It was a good game, but I was disappointed in lack of evolution, ease of gameplay, and requiring $$$ for end of game basically making it a $70 game. It was a solid game, but other than gun creation/management, not much was introduced into DS3. To cap off the adventure, the DLC made you remember how good Dead Space can be, and wonder why the entire game didn't meant that standard.

The idea of releasing the ending as dlc is absurd, I hear ya on that. It is one of the reasons I have held back on it. I thoroughly enjoyed the game up to the end I already paid for, I don't need to buy more.

Need to put this back in and finish it. Honestly the amount of times you rejoin your group and get split up had got me so damn frustrated.
