I am so buying this! According to IGN the download clocks in around 1 GB seems small for what your getting. The game looks fantastic thought it would easily be 3-4 GB.

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
So, um....the street date was lifted. Gamestop's selling it now. I first noticed on a Kotaku blip, and this confirms it.

Note the lack of a "Pre-order" mention. Going to call first, but I'm about to head out to the local GS now.
Edit: Confirmed. They have it and they're selling it.Last edited by bcruise; 09-14-2012, 05:12 PM.Comment

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
I wish I saw this post earlier. I was right next to a Gamestop. Now my dogs are barking.

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
Quick heads-up - that card in my picture that says "Pre-Order Redemption instructions" also acts as the Network Pass voucher. You'll need the code on the other side to get to the Community menu once you clear the first world. It says it's for a couple of costumes on the card, but it brought up the voucher screen when I entered it.
However...the servers don't appear to be up yet. Not surprising really, since it's a bit less than 2 weeks until the planned street date. So this is probably a good time to get into the story mode and mess with the create tools.Last edited by bcruise; 09-14-2012, 09:02 PM.Comment

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
I was going to buy this today, then I got the email that it shipped from Gamefly so I'll wait and save a few bucks and just buy it from them. I have enough games piled up already, with Sleeping Dogs already on my plate, Borderlands 2 already preloaded, plus other PC games I have passed on because I was stubborn, to top it all off Lollipop Chainsaw was just delivered by Gamefly today (though I suspect I'mnot going to like it much).Comment

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
I got it earlier today, pretty much done with the first "world." It's LBP with some touchscreen action. I don't mind the integration (especially for some bonus levels), but the rear touch is kind of annoying that the green blip will always be on your screen if any finger is even slightly on the rear touch pad.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
Yeah, Blzer summed it up pretty well - for better or worse, it's LBP on the Vita. Don't expect any huge surprises or things drastically different from LBP2 other than the touch controls (which the story mode wastes no time introducing you to, btw).
However, saying that it's close to LBP2 is quite a statement as, unlike the PSP, I have yet to find any sacrifices made to fit it onto the Vita. I'm still going through the create tutorials so something might be missing, but there's nothing glaringly obvious. If LBP2 had it, odds are it's going to be in this game (except the Move toys, obviously). Controlinator's definitely there as evidenced in an early story mode mission, which pretty much guarantees microchips as well. Creatinator is in as well, I've seen it in the tutorials.
The touch controls are pretty easy to figure out, although like Blzer said I've had the problem of the rear touch being a tad too sensitive and causing the indicator to show on the screen most of the time. Minor quibble. You will need the touch controls to get through Story mode, but I like how they're not forced down your throat in Create mode. With maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, everything I could do with touch I could do with a stick/button combination as well. The tutorials do a pretty good job explaining that either method can be used.
And, as you can see from Blzer's screenshot, it looks damn good. I think the lighting effects make it look even better than LBP2 at times.
They can't turn the servers on soon enough for this game.Comment

Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)
Speaking of the servers...they're coming online Tuesday. Still not soon enough.
Hi everyone - production on LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita was completed earlier than expected, and due to the excitement from our retail partners, some have decided to put it on shelves as soon as the product was received. You'll still be able to fully enjoy all the offline features of the game until that time, but [...]Comment

But yeah, it's essentially LBP2 on the Vita. The level layout gets pretty good after the intro levels. There are underwater themes as well, so the non-DLC/GOTY guys get a good idea of what things they were able to do with it.
