    Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)

I tried looking at 2 gamestop's today and they didn't have any left.

EDIT: I was able to find the last copy at another Gamestop......can't wait to fire this up.

LBPV's online servers are now, er, online.

Only 210 levels posted (showing up in "cool levels"), so I'm guessing beta stuff probably didn't transfer over.

I really enjoyed it (still enjoying), and I feel it was a perfect fit for the Vita. I completed the story mode (picked it up early) and now I'll switch focus to the community (create, share) aspect of the game. I was waiting for the official release to get all my LBP and LBP2 content onto the Vita... and I'm actually kind of anxious for the cross-control integration with LBP2.

IMO, the game just feels right on the Vita, and it is definitely a full-fledged release. All of the Vita's features were implemented well too. While not extremely long, the story mode was engaging, and I found humor in it, lol. One thing I really enjoyed was the sound/soundtrack. Definitely under-rated. If I had to keep score, I'd give it a 9.5/10 and it's taken over as my favorite Vita title (from HSG)

Can you access the created levels in LBP 1&2 on the Vita? Do you need to own (or have save files) of those games on your PS3 in order to do that?

Yes. I think the levels are a lot more creative than MM ever came out with in LBP and LBP2. They also feel longer, though I don't know if that's actually true. The bonus levels are also much more creative, adding touchscreen options into the mix.

I just wish there was some other way to diversify the game maybe a little bit more and it has been so far, especially with the environment. It's okay without the changes, but if LBP Karting was a part of one of these games, that would also be enough to give that push.

I've got a trip coming up in a couple weeks. I might buy this then to play on the plane trips across the country. No issue playing the single player offline right?

Nope, but make sure you download the patches before going into offline mode... or so I think you might have to do.

No, shouldn't be an issue. Also, you can download community levels to play later!

These graphics are just so impressive for a hand-held. It is legit a PS3 in your hands.

And the game is perfect for the Vita. So much more enjoyable to play on it than the PS3, IMO.

                              Re: LittleBigPlanet (PSVita)

Reading these impressions by a guy on another forum and watching Blzer's video this is impressive what they have done here. Now we know it is capable of the Vita to do what the Wii U Gamepad can at a higher resolution.

Is Donkey Show around ..? please mister.. You have to go to your colleagues at Sumo Digitial and pat yourself on the shoulder. Damn this is some amazing work. just WAUW.!!!
It might be a bit short, it might be that the install of the cross controller pack is strange and confusing.. BUT the end product here is just fantastic.. again WAUW..!!!

I was smiling all the way through this little piece of heaven. The story is geat, the levels are fun... but most of all the cross control stuff is beyond Amazing. I was amazed by the response of the controls, I was expecting some kind of lag because of remote play (it uses remote play, but not in the usual way, it just connects through it), but no lag no problems whatsover with the controls, they just worked perfectly..

Using the Vita to tilt stuff in the levels, light up lasers, move platforms, play music, transport out in to space etc.. just wauw.. that is so amazing.. I actually had to wake up my wife to show this to her (she got pissed and didn´t care), but I just had to show it to someone.. even the little "load" screen is fantastic.

This cross controller pack is really something else.. even though it took me forever to get the pack ready to play. I hadn´t played LBP 2 since forever. So this is what I did.

                              - Start LBP2 on PS3.
                              - Download & Install 5 updates. (took like 1 hour)
                              - Download the cross controller pack (just arround 100kb on the PS3 and the same on the Vita)
                              - Start LBP 2.

But becuase it was the digital version from plus and I had deleted all the saves from my old retail copy, I couldn´t find the cross control option. I had to complete the first world in LBP2 to unlock the cross controller option (along with the level creation part in LBP2). That took me about an ½ hour. so then I pressed the cross controller option.

                              - It started up Remote Play on the PS3.
                              - I tried to find the thing i had downloaded on My Vita, but no luck.
                              - Started up remote play on my Vita.
                              - Chose the cross controller option there.
                              - Now it connected and prompted to download the app.
                              - 462Mb had to be downloaded on the Vita. Took like 15 min.

Now I was ready.. it took some time, so I was kind of annoyed and thought I had wasted alot of time, and was ready to play for 10 min. and give this product thumbs down..
But allready from the first second I used My Vita to control sackboy on my Flatscreen tv .. I was in Love.. damn this is impressive..

It´s just a damn shame that this is such a niche product. Lots of stuff going against it. You have to own a PS3, PsVita and LBP2 on the PS3 (luckily it is free for Plus members). The install thing is not something an everyday person just figures out by himself.. It´s a little to hard to install..
But that is just such a shame because this product is a real showpiece of the possibilities for future cross control stuff. If game companies use this option from the beginning when they start to program a new game, the install procedure and everything around it could be much easier. Sumo Digital has managed the impossble with an allready existing game, so the install procedure migt be annoying but still impressive that they managed to do this with an old game.

I really hope the community will pick upthis product and make some levels for the cross controller pack. I will at least try to make something, the possibilities seem endless right now..

I could go on and on about this product.. but I will stop.. just going to say this:

Sumo Digital, you have my utmost respect. This is the best piece of software and programming I have seen this year (ehh actually ever seen). Keep up the good work, and I really wish this sells well, it certainly deserves to.!

Yeah, this pack really has my gears cranking away, thinking about an ultimate LBP cross-control/move control hybrid super level.

He makes a very valid point about a lot of people getting frustrated and not seeing it thru. It could only be done that way, since it was an add-on, but that really bodes well for future releases that have this tech built in from the start.
