That digital foundry video had the answer. I think it’s locked in at 1080p or just above in the 1100s iirc. Won’t go higher. It’s always in performance at 60 FPS (with slight drops in spots). Wonder if there will be a patch for users to decide? Same with crowd density on next gen.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Am I the only Series X owner who feels like quality mode provides a subtle image boost, not the significant difference claimed by Digital Foundry? I've gone back and forth between performance and quality. I feel like I have to strain my eyes and stop what I'm doing to notice an image difference. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Which video are you all referring to? I’d like to watch it.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Here is the article about Cyberpunk on PS5/XboxX with video inside.
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2077-cyberpunk-2077-next-gen-console-tech-analysisIt's no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 has launched in a bit of a state on the last generation consoles - with the base Pla…
“ PlayStation 5 appears to have the simplest implementation - the game seems to have the same 1188p maximum dynamic resolution output as PlayStation 4 Pro (which actually seems to operate in a 972p-1188p DRS window) but the 30fps cap on last-gen is totally removed. The end result is something very close to a locked 60 frames per second through much of the game, with only minor drops in most scenarios. However, it's not a lock - driving at speed through the city seems to hit a CPU limit with drops into the 50s.”
“Arguably the best console experience right now is Series X's quality mode, which caps output frame-rate to 30 frames per second but increases resolution dramatically - it's dynamic and floats around 1512p in the city, but can be reach beyond 1728p in simpler scenes (1800p looks like the absolute upper bounds). Latency increases and obviously visual response is lower, but increasing the pixel count so dramatically is a boon for image quality.”

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I’m about 6 hours or so in and I’m just lost. I’m having a blast but at the same time I’m so confused as to what I should be doing.
I will say the different task/quest are some of the most enjoyable quest given the short time with the game. I can’t put the controller down.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
There is just SO MUCH going on in this game, it's almost a bit overwhelming to figure out. Leveling my character up, perk points, street cred, hacking, and crafting are almost too much to try to figure out at once. Gotta find a tutorial.
Working through an escape right now trying to figure out what I want to hack, what works best, and also not dying is also good.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
All the talk of not knowing what to do next sounds perfect to me. Lol They said they switched to first person perspective so you could really get into Vs headspace and feel like you're in the world. Just doing random stuff in the world sounds right up my alley and very immersive lol. Some of my favorite things in the Witcher 3 were just doing random quest for strangers and walking around looking at cool scenery unrelated to the main story arc. I'm getting more onboard with this every time I read this thread. Just waiting for the next gen patch to drop now."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I don't usually get into super open-world RPG games like this (with a couple exceptions), but this one has me hooked.
Playing on the PS5 and I think I'm about 15ish hours in now. Been doing everything stealth; I don't think I've actually killed anybody yet and playing this methodically has made it a lot of fun for me (I played the Uncharted games the same way where I'd try to just pick people off one by one without being detected).
It's not awe-inspiring graphics wise to me, but it's just a beautiful and vibrant city. It really is a lot of fun just walking around the city and seeing what's up.NFL: Bills

My only thing is how I don't know things like that - so for example in any game I like bounty hunting. CP has it and you can scan and find people wanted by the city and 'taking them out' will get you a reward.... however I'm not sure what the game WANTS you to do.
For example I saw a guy early on who was wanted and so I thought Ok I'll just blast his arse. Well I did and people around were scared and eventually a cop started shooting at me. So I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do - do I have to non-lethal take them down? Does attacking ANYONE become an illegal act? I'm just not sure and I don't want to be wanted by the cops constantly this early in the game so I'd like to know how to grab the cash for taking care of some wanted people.
Interesting side note' a body fell right in front of me from a high rise either thrown of jumped, and I looked at him and saw he was dead and there was blood etc, then I went away and came back and cops had dragged him off the road and onto the sidewalk and there was a blood stain where he was - thought that was cool.
Also for those wondering you can continue to shoot dead bodies and blow their heads and arms off - I know that sounds morbid but I always appreciate when a game leaves corpses and even more when they remain physical assets that can move and deform.
One thing I removed is the number-feedback from shooting. I'm going to play without that in the HUD for the time being as I'd rather not know at least for now. Rather have a gun/fist fight and focus on that rather than draining a health number.
Fingers crossed but I'm bug free thus far - although much of the text is so small I've moved a chair closer to the TV to play.
Absolutely loving it and taking my time so far. I chose a street kid girl to play as and will do some side quests, but plan a more exhaustive play-through post-next-gen-patch with a male protagonist. My girl has tats and a purple mohawk and is hot! lolLiquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
