Gears of War: Judgment
Per IGN:
Microsoft and Epic Games will debut a new Gears of War title at E3 next week. The sequel -- which was not identified by name in Game Informer's cover story reveal -- appears to be set on Sera, star COG soldiers, and a mysterious man in handcuffs.

re: Gears of War: Judgment
It's the prequel to Gears 1. That's Marcus and is being taken to prison. We'll see how he ended up there now. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a trilogy as well. -

Awesome, can't wait to hear more details. I'd love a more fleshed out beast mode."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Too bad this was spoiled, really wish it would have been a surprise for Monday. It's like so much has been unveiled already for both Sony and MSFT before Monday. ARGH!!!!!Comment

re: Gears of War: Judgment
Will this be a TPS or FPS? Very exciting to see them going back to THE SLAB........would love for this to go as far as the Pendulum Wars which could be a trilogy all in itself.

Bah. We have enough FPS's... Gears is meant to be in third person... here's to hoping they don't go that route.Comment

re: Gears of War: Judgment
I'm still disappointed that MSFT let the cat of the bag on this one before E3. Imagine the buzz this would of created on Monday, unless they have something on a bigger scale.
The more I look at that pic, that kind of looks like Chairman Prescott......Last edited by CaptainZombie; 05-31-2012, 10:33 PM.Comment

July Cover Revealed: Gears Of War Judgment
The new installment in Epic's billion-dollar franchise is Gears of War: Judgment. The July cover of Game Informer shows series mainstay Damon Baird shackled as the Locust hordes rage around him. Augustus "Cole Train" Cole, soldier and world-famous Thrashball player, dons our second cover image in the same precarious situation.
Check out both of the beautiful covers below, keep an eye out for the issue in your mailbox and on newsstands, and check back Monday for more information on Gears of War: Judgment's multiplayer mode. On Monday we'll launch our Gears of War: Judgment hub, along with a coverage trailer for all the exclusive Gears content you have to look forward to throughout July. Also on Monday you can use Game Informer's new iPad app to read all about Gears of War: Judgment and the rest of our content-packed July issue.

re: Gears of War: Judgment
Some details:
- Prequel focuses on Baird in his earlier years, who apparently has been accused of military crimes.
- New to the franchise is class-based gameplay in multiplayer (new gametype). Could just be Overrun.
- Team Kilo composed of Damon Baird, Augustus Cole, Garron Paduk and a red-haired girl named Sophia Hendricks.
- Better management of the AI and a "Smart Spawn System" that would increase the longevity of the game allowing you to create different situations whenever you will have to replay an act or a specific chapter. Left 4 Dead AI Director?
- New mode Overrun - combines Horde and Beast. Left 4 Dead Versus?
