        Re: Watch Dogs

This is GTA with brains in a nutshell, imo.

This game on realistic level rewards the cerebral and thinking player who scouts the area, moves methodically and stealthily.

I just did cpost tower and it was great....so many ways to approach the level. You dont wany to alert the guards because they have good intelligence and will come and flush you out, they will flank you and 9 times out of 10, you're dead if it is more tthan 3 guards.

I try to avoid using the slowmo mode to.shoot....just to keep me honest and be more cautious.

Also, when you do.resort to.the gunplay, it is satisfying because of the cover system and cpu ai.

Dont get me started with the ccar chases either getting chased by the cops or chasing a thug. use the in car camera to get full immersion

All.of these things make the game exciting and not boring. very well done game

          Re: Watch Dogs

Handled a tower that normally would have required me going inside so I could hack a console that was out of surveillance's reach.

No issue because some guy had a personal camera on him. At first, I asked what was the purpose? I guess I shouldn't go near him because he would upload my activity and that could be trouble?

But then it hit me. So luckily the game designers included a way to get the man's attention when he walked close enough to a particular area of the building.

Once he started walking over, I hacked into his personal camera and he walked me over to the console so I could hack into it and get to the servers.

I know I'm not the only one to do it but after having done it, my sister (who was watching me at the moment) got hype and found the game incredibly interesting.

It also gave me complete satisfaction in seeing the developer's dream come alive. They told us we could do these things and at times I questioned how efficiently.

It's amazing how real their goal is. The wait was worth it.

I've pretty much only done the towers so far. Unlocked the last of them yesterday. Probably do some more story today after work. Only done like 2 missions of that so far.

This game is pretty awesome. Played my first game of online decryption last night and it does take a while, but it was still fun. This game should definitely be a candidate for game of the year.

Enjoying this game no doubt. ALL KINDS of things to do. I thought that I wouldn't like the hacking aspect, but they actually implemented it very well I gotta say.

I've been mostly running around and fighting the gangs but I've done a handful of missions. My favorite being the hacking of the office laptop. I do have a question, I may have glossed over it when it was explained, but what is the purpose of me hacking system keys from the NPCs?

So I was wrong, I'm still missing two QR codes, I'm thinking they appear later in the story missions. I also had a mission unlock after doing more of the story missions for the weapons trafficing line. That one was fun as hell too. Starting to do more of the story missions and hitting the last of the few convoys and gang hideouts as I discover them. Even really enjoying the story missions so far as well. There's some great voice acting in this game and that Clara gal is a trip!

Put in a little more time last night and kind of started to get a feel for the game. Still not blown away or anything but I'm definitely more into the game than I was after my first couple hours.

So much to do and take in that the game was a little overwhelming at first, so hopefully I'll really start to enjoy it now that I've figured a few things out.

                            Re: Watch Dogs

I need to try convoy soon, that seems way cooler than I thought.

I just spent 2 hours last night doing "Open my world", a gang hideout, a few crimes, 2 QR codes, and 3 ctos towers. This game is crack.

I really enjoy the thought that's necessary. It's not just GTA "run to objective and shoot" type mentality. The QR codes are brilliantly done to make something "go to a spot" fun/creative and sometimes challenging.

I took out the head gang member after distracting everyone then I just booked it and escaped.

Question: There's no penalty for killing guys on mission, right? IE. gang members, convoy enemies, guys in main storyline, right? The risk is just if you shoot without silencers then everyone will be alert, correct?

The only real penalties are killing civilians, which in my "character roleplay" I'd rather not do anyways. Am I right?

I'd really like to do a mix of stealth with stealth killing. Just need to hit the gun store tomorrow, I was up too late as it was last night with "just one more tower" mentality lol.

This is correct, the only "penalty" is your rep will go down for killing civies.
