    Counterstrike Go

Game is set to release on PC, 360 and PS3 on August 21st for $15.

I read up a little on this and the hardcore Counterstrike community were not thrilled with the beta. Here's the newest preview article I could find.

I have barely played any Counterstrike, so I'm not too concerned about the comparisons to the old game. I do like the assortment of game modes (some new) 1-16 players and casual mode. And the price is right.

Been following the game but like you said is getting a pretty poor reaction. Not gonna jump at this yet, even with the super low price.

My team will be ready to go when this game comes out.. hoping the xbox 360 version is very competitive like the old CS was. We will be on the gamebattles ladder and will be ready to tear Sh1t up.. We are looking for 1 more player. Let us know if u wanna tryout.

Counter Strike with a controller just doesn't seem right. This is one of the most demanding and precise shooters ever made.

I might check out the PC version, but from what I've read, it doesn't seem like there's enough new content to make it worth revisiting maps I've played a million times over.

Why are they even still making these games? Watching videos of this game is almost comical.

They didn't need to make a new CS, Source still has a huge fan base and if they continued to support it there's no reason for GO. Not going to get it...

Can even be said about 1.6. Top 5 on Steam played.

Yeah both 1.6 and Source are still in the top 10 for most-played STEAM games.

Might get since it'll only be $12 on PS Plus on PS3. Plus keyboard/mouse support on a PS3 game might be quite a unique experience.

Dissapointed that they cut the cross-platform play though - I'd have gotten it no questions asked if it had that.

I loved the first one on xbox. I've never played mouse/keyboard shooters and don't care to. There is a huge market for this on console - I see no reason why it shouldn't be on xbox it's awesome news to me.

having said that, I haven't seen videos, but even if it was a lot like the old xbox game it would be balanced and fun at least.

My brother just bought me this game and the BETA for my birthday. Haven't played a CS game for quite a few years, so it will take some time to get back into it. In all honesty, I've kind of gotten away from FPS games, but I'll give it a try.

I actually have been enjoying the beta thus far. Feels like the old counter-strike that I grew up with, however this time around they made some nice aesthetic adjustments.

Will be playing a lot come release time.

I think I will wait for the inevitable STEAM holiday sale to give this a shot, but I'll definitely keep it on my radar.

For $5 or less I'd jump.
