    EA bought Bioware 2 years before Dragon Age Origins was released, and just a month after Mass Effect.

    But besides that, if you want to blame someone, blame the owners who sold out and the developers who changed the game. I'm tired of these guys who give up control of their companies and IPs to cash out getting a pass.

      It's true, especially in ME2, the RPG elements got slashed. However, the story was still top notch, which is more the mark of Bioware than RPG elements in my opinion.
