I beg to differ. But let's not get into a EA debate......I don't want to trainwreck a great thread.
    Completely agree A&S!!!

It's on other people's lists before and after me.

When did I say not being good at it equates to a bad game? When did I say I wasn't good at it? I said I was frustrated with it. Mostly due to piss poor design. For example that early level when you're up on that sign or whatever. If I press forward and dive I expect to dive forward on to the ground with no problem. I don't expect to be hurled over the edge and have to do an entire section over again because it was up and slightly to the left. Much like I said about AC III you should be able to trust the game to know what you're doing. Why in the world would I ever want to dive over the edge? If I press towards a static object I expect to slide over it,not run into it and end up on the ground. I don't expect an AI partner to walk right into me firing then fail the mission because their dumb *** that I had no control over decided to walk directly into the line of fire and I shot him in his dumb *** head.

Yes it's in the same catagorey as SSX as being disapointing. It's nowhere near as bad as that.

Diablo 3 without a doubt. Diablo was my favorite franchise, but they ruined it with 3. The story was good, but the gameplay changes and introduction of the RLAH simply ruined the game (i.e. you basically had to use the AH if you wanted to progress at any reasonable pace in Inferno). Still don't understand how Jay Wilson has a job @Blizzard. My guess is that money is king, and the RLAH is raking in $$$ and that's a win, regardless of how much they pissed off fans of the game/series.

Resident Evil 6 was a disappointment for me, but probably not the way it was for many of the reviewers who complained about quicktime events. Those didn't bother me, it was the complete lack of fear, horror, and the intensity that comes with it, and that I expect in a RE game, that was missing that let me down.

Re: Biggest Disappointing Game(s) of the Year.

I think we also have to consider that some of us have different expectations for games, so some would consider MP3 disappointing.

It actually exceeded my expectations. Then again, I could probably be quoted for being a little skeptical before the game's release..

I only listed Mass Effect 3, because I expected a much better ending after such a great ride. The rest of the game was GOTY material.

EA has their hand in so many projects from the ones they develop to the investments they have made with producing other people's work. When you're involved in so many games, it's easy for people to tie EA to games that may have disappointed.

EA didn't develop Medal of Honor, their name is on the game because they produced it. That's a common mistake people make, when pointing fingers at companies. Let's not go overboard with the "everything company x" makes is turrible talk.

Producers do define support strategies though, and EA support of their titles is all over the place, though in general, unless a game sells a lot and there's a sequel planned, support is typically limited or non-existent regardless of the company.

Madden 13 for me...I got suckered and thought this was THE year, ugh not even close. Didn't even hesitate on trading it in which is unheard of for me...first year I've gone since I've starting playing EA football games that I don't have one. Sucks.

Haven't been too disappointed outside of that...really happy with a lot of the gaming choices I made this year.

EA's global business decisions affect each and every game in which the developers are on their payroll. These business decisions altered the direction of games or made them more difficult to execute which were not the case prior to when EA came along and bought them.

This is pretty much why myself (and apparently many others) hate EA:

EA has launched an aggressive push to nickel and dime their games as much as possible due to a number of years of losing in order to return to profitability. So when the milk ran dry, they said squeeze some more and see if some powder comes out. They finally made a profit last year.

                Examples:
-EA's aggressive push of DRM which lead to such clusterf___'s like people who got banned from playing Dragon Age & Command & Conquer even though they bought them legally. Even a Command & Conquer developer was annoyed by his own game because of DRM
-BF3 Removing Virtually all of the EA servers after they began allowing users to foot the bill. So everyone is forced to play on servers where you can't use smoke grenades and knives or else you get booted by some 12 year old with an inferiority complex
-Dice insisting that DLC stay free and we saw how that turned out

These are all decisions that were forced down by EA. I can't speak thegut on why he isn't a fan of EA, but for me, these and "countless" (as Armor & Sword would say) other reasons why I don't plan on giving EA another dime anytime soon. I was pretty much done with EA before BF3 but as a fan of BF I really wanted BF3 to live up to the hype or at least be better than BFBC2.

I beg to differ about EA's involvement with MOH WF:

I didn't mean to side track this into some EA bashing thread. I was burned by two games released by EA this year so naturally they lost some of my trust.

Not disappointing games by any means, but I'm very disappointed that SSX and Twisted Metal didn't get their fanfare. Fantastic games with zero online support because of no sales.

Madden 13. I could not stomach the bizarre looking animations and pinball like collisions.

This, absolutely no question. The good news is I used a gamestop store credit and it didn't cost me anything.

                            Haven't got/played much this year.

                            -ACIII [Haven't played it yet]
                            -MLB 2k12 [LOVED it]
-MLB Show 13 [Liked it but the staleness is setting in]
-NBA 2k13 [More of the same tho not sure if thats a good thing. Getting stale without competition]
-Max Payne III [Dug what i played of it]
-Madden 13 [Rented it. Holy crap that game sucked. madden is completely off my radar. Haven't bought one since 08 midnight release in which I had a case of instant regret. Since then its been rentals and a few day later back they went. Man its depressing in sports gaming these days. Each sport has ONE game for it. Can you believe that? ZERO competition with anything but Soccer if I am not mistaken which I could care less about]

                            So madden wins [or loses].

Easily diablo 3. Don't even have to explain why. Even if I did, its not worth the time to do so. My brother and I played diablo 2 for a looooong time. The simple fact that he quit diablo 3 within a month says a lot to me. I stopped playing within a couple of days as well.

The name of this thread so be changed to say "....other than Madden".that one should be obvious to everyone. I thought it was cool for about 2 hrs until the new wore off. Doubt I've put 5 hrs into it this year where in times past I played even after the season was over.
